But the announcement is from KP, not BP. So, technically, Meggles decided to announce herself as a VP not the queen.

I can totally believe she did this. She is MEggles the powerful feminist who gets whatever she wants.

Meghan is glowing in green as she pays tribute to her 'second home' by kicking off Commonwealth Day celebrations with a visit to Canada House with Prince Harry
* The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are marking Commonwealth Day with a visit to Canada House in London
* Monday morning's event will celebrate community of young Canadians living in London and around UK
* Meghan, 37, lived in Toronto for over six years and has said she regards Canada as her 'second home'
* After their morning engagement, the couple will join the Queen for a special service at Westmisnter
Los Angeles native Meghan lived in Canada, described as her 'second home', for over six years while filming for legal drama Suits in Toronto and has previously said she feels 'very connected' to the country.
The Queen has put Harry and Meghan at the forefront of her Commonwealth duties by making them President and Vice President of the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust, an organisation promoting young people around the world.

During their visit today, the couple will have the opportunity to talk to groups of young Canadians from a wide range of sectors including fashion, the arts, business and academia, about their experiences as expats as well as opportunities for young people working in the Commonwealth.

Before departing, the couple will attend a short reception and watch a musical performance before hearing a short speech from High Commissioner, H.E. Ms. Janice Charette.

Rebecca English
The Duke & Duchess of Sussex have made an unannounced visit to New Zealand House in London to pay tribute to the victims of the #ChristchurchTerrorAttack . They will sign a book of condolence & speak to staff. They were asked to go by HM as they were the last royals to visit #NZ

Harry and Meghan's tribute to Christchurch dead: Duchess gives traditional Hongi greeting and lays flowers during visit to New Zealand House in wake of terror atrocity
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have paid an emotional tribute to the victims of the Christchurch terror attack today as they signed a book of condolence on behalf of the Royal Family.

The tacky classless wretch is still making the focus about her as she bends down very low to place the flowers and touch her bump.  bored3

^^Thoughtful gesture. But why didn't they go yesterday when no one else in the family had appearances?  The optics look as if she has to be out when Kate is. blink

And now she wants to wear actual maternity clothes  wopedo

^ & ^^ exactly. Just look at her smug face. Beaming at the thought that she's taking the front page away from Kate and from the Queen. THE QUEEN
Yet, Kate's article is at 4K comments, Megan's at 49. Poor thing.  easter-lol

Does anyone know if the Queen really asked them to go?  And if she did, did she ask them to go today when Kate had two engagements, one of which was with her?

Or was this "unannounced" visit another rogue appearance by the disgruntled duo?    bored3

Let's all not forget that both couples are relatively useless and self-serving - looking good by comparison is no prize.  Embarrassed

But not to go off topic...

I suspect that it wasn't called for. Today was the day in which Kate shines with the Queen. Usually Harry goes to such condolences meetings alone and there's just a few pics if any to document the private meeting. These two called a press conference for this phony meeting where if you pay attention - Megan does the writing with her atrocious handwriting.

As they were outside they had to ensure the security was in place before allowing a royal visit. Had it been simply a visit to the inside of New Zealand House they could have gone earlier but as they were laying flowers they had to put a full security shield in place and they take a day or so to organise even in the capital.

Most days see multiple royals undertaking royal duties.

The fact that the press cover the Sussexes over even Her Majesty is simply because the Sussexes sell more and get more clicks online. It is all about the bottom line and nothing to do with the importance of the royal undertaking the duty.

Wow, this is a new low.

A) Kate and HM were on a joint engagement - their first ever (the previous one was with Philip). Why couldn't the Sussexes have visited on Monday, or Wednesday? Clearly calculated to steal the spotlight

B) Meghan is wearing another eyewateringly expensive outfit by Gucci - merching at this event, which marks a national tragedy - dreadful and tacky

C) Clutching her bump again - narcissistic attention seeker https://i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2019/03/19/16/11188884-6825967-image-m-141_1553013646183.jpg

Also, 8 months pregnant and still tottering about in stilettos and bare legs...

The Queen asked that the Sussexes go to New Zealand House on behalf of the Crown to sign the condolence book and offer deep sympathies, as they were there on tour in October. NZ House is an extremely busy place every day of the working week and arrangements have to be worked out with the officials there. The date and time was probably arranged beforehand.
