Back to work! Harry and Meghan's first official engagement of the year will be a visit to Merseyside - as they prepare to welcome their first baby this spring
The duke and duchess will visit Tomorrow’s Women Wirral, an organisation that supports women in vulnerable circumstances.
It was set up in 2011 to support women on their release from prison, and now offers a range of training courses and workshops for more than 6,000 local women, including support groups around mental health issues, domestic abuse and addiction.
The couple will also visit the Hive, Wirral Youth Zone, created by thecharity OnSide Youth Zones, which is developing 21st century youth facilities across the UK.
The Hive aims to provide a safe environment for young people to help them build key skills and raise their aspirations and confidence.
The duke and duchess will also meet members of the public in Hamilton Square when they view a new sculpture marking the 100th anniversary of the death of Birkenhead war poet Wilfred Owen.

He should give up his Royal status and sail off into the sunset with Markle. She devalues the RF

Is this a joke? What is Meghan Markle doing attending charities involving mental health and addiction. She was rolling joints for her wedding guests only 7 years ago and giving them doggy bags of the stuff, with some of them not knowing! And let us not forget the mental torment her poor rejected father is going through right now...what is the Queen thinking?

Inappropriate for Marijuana Megs to visit women dealing with substance abuse issues.  laugh

WtH..." visit women dealing with substance abuse issues"?? Not sure if MM and PH are such a good role models. Especially knowing MM, handed out weedbags on her 2nd wedding in Jamaica.

Can I have a job travelling in luxury; smiling and waving for an hour then being taken home? I'd be very good at it.  thumbsup

Sentebale is a charity Harry co- established with Prince Seiso of Lesotho when he was 19. It's a long term project of his and I think he would be thought badly of if he were to abandon it, which I don't think he ever will. Lesotho is in the Commonwealth and Commonwealth projects and endeavours occupy quite a lot of the BRF's time.

After Chelsy moved to London and especially after their break-up, Harry had pretty much abandoned that charity and his only involvement to that was play polo... then years later happened Vegas in his life and he remembered those kids there, that little boy was protographed said he wrote several letters to him for years and never received any reply... meghan  suits him perfectly... he has little to do with his mother as far as charity is concerned, no matter what his PR and ego wants people believe

Both William and Harry have taken over several of their mother's charities, AIDS, Landmines, Centrepoint (the homeless) and children's cancer hospital Marsden among them. Also, polo matches shouldn't be underestimated. They bring millions in donations each year.

Article about a 2013 visit to Lesotho by Harry, also talks about a 2010 trip which William accompanied him on. (Harry and Chelsy broke up in early 2009 and after that the romance was off and on.)  And he has been back to Lesotho several times since.

As worthy as these charities and endeavors might be that Harry has off shore, the prevailing reality is that we are solidly in a “charity begins at home” mentality among donors across the board.  I am repeatedly asked, “How does this help my community or country’s citizenry?”.  It’s just a fact.

What worked during PD’s time no longer applies.  The BRF should be aware of this and adjust accordingly.  Especially Harry, who’s really under the gun atm to be relevant in his outreach.

Harry has plenty of UK patronages, charitable endeavours that are based in the UK, both within the umbrella of the Royal Foundation and outside it.

However, Harry was appointed to the role of Commonwealth Youth Ambassador by the Queen. The Queen, Charles and the British Government believe that maintaining links between GB and the Commonwealth is extremely important, especially post-Brexit. Therefore Harry will continue to travel abroad to Commonwealth countries to carry on endeavours there, environmental, health, education etc., as well as in Lesotho.

I'm having an April baby! Meghan lets slip to well-wishers during a walkabout in Birkenhead she is now SIX months pregnant – but doesn't know if it's a boy or a girl as she wants it to be a surprise

I think they know. For one thing Harry said he hoped it was a girl. Which leads me to believe it is. Diana did the same thing when she was pregnant with Wiliam she said she hoped it was a boy (and she had the scan and knew it was a boy already).

@RE_DailyMail
Random fact of the day: a 69-year-old Buddhist monk named Kelsang Sonam, who gave Harry a copy of a book entitled “8 Steps to Happiness”, said the prince  told him he meditates every day #Birkenhead

Meghan does the speaking and invites Harry to unveil the plaque at

^She certainly makes sure each engagement is about her rather than the charity. The way she seeks out the cameras for the photos rather than concentrating on the actual engagement.

I think as someone mentioned before the fact that most of these events has no ridrect impact on peoples real lives and the importance of such events always been on how they look rather than what the events is for leaves a lot to be discussed but hardlly should be taken as theyre fault. Both looked happy to be there, talked to the people waiting, talked to the people on the event, the issues they were there to talk about, they did theyre job very well and is not theyre fault media/public seems to only concentrate on the baby, her belly, the price of her clothes...etc
