Kate does not always pay attention to her looks even on formal royal tours. And it took a while to learn to put in garment weights.

Kate needs to stop the hyena laughing. not flattering

Yes, well, I'm talking about the present and not the past.  She looked really good today.

I'm talking about her career as a royal. Those fashion mishaps were disastrous and still on the Internet.

On KP twitter: 'On Tuesday 22nd January The Duchess of Cambridge will visit @Family_Action Lewisham, which provides support for children and families in South London, to launch 'FamilyLine', a national support line.'

ick ick ick ick ick ick ick ick

She' s still graceless, with her mouth open wide, still she hasn' t learnt how to act properly, I dislike the dress, IMO it looks frumpy yet too girlish at the same time, she can' t carry that little bag, she doesn' t know what to do with it  in her hands, I find the skirt too short. I would have worn the jacket with black or checkered slacks or a black skirt

bignono Kate is still a no to me

^ I don't think there is anything wrong about open-mouthed laughing, she does seem to be laughing harder than anyone else though which to me looks like nerves or overacting or just plain not knowing what is going on. And that style of dress does look little-girlish.

It's cool about her involvement in the garden design though.

She has had very unflattering photos with the open mouthed laughing. It is not a good look for her. She also plays to cameras and overacts when they are around. She still has the preppy look which she should update as she approaches her forties. The purple dress was too short and could have used some tailoring

I think carefree, open-mouthed laughing without caring what one looks like is the most beautiful a person can look sometimes. It is just that Kate seems to do it at times that don't make sense.

someone on this board had an animated sequence of Kate throwing back her head and laughing. I don't remember which poster did it.It exemplified the annoying laugh.

I think Kate does it to project an image of having a carefree, happy life. It's part of her act of being happy all the time, just like she did while she was William's mistress. In the book "The Other Boleyn Girl," it mentions how Anne's strategy was all about being as happy as possible and doing all she could to make Harry happy. Kate did all that while she was girlfriend/mistress, but as of late, she can only keep up a facade with the public, but it's so exaggerated and cartoonish.

That big, stretched grin is too much, indeed.

I think she does it  to hide how nervous she is.

If she went out more she would not have been so nervous. She does play to the cameras and does know when they are around.

Well, fortunately, since Kate is obviously now much more comfortable in her role, and she and William appear happier than ever, the exaggerated grins are likely to decrease.  I think it was due to insecurity, myself, and she is obviously feeling more secure.

I think she has become more comfortable at engagements  and both of them do seem happier. I started noticing this when she was pregnant with Louis.

She has not done that many engagements.  I hope this recent 'step up' keeps going and she gets a regular work schedule.

Let's see if she keeps up a regular schedule. Not everybody is enamored of the woman. It's about time she works steadily.

^^ Is it possible for her to ever go out and speak without gyrating about with her big old man hands gesticulating incessantly?
