Yes, and I think that's so fitting.

Fergie was very Fergie, today. i expected no less, and was rather glad to see her being so much like herself. The detail on her hat looked like a wedge of gold leaf placed atop a chocolate ganache, but I like Beatrice's hat. The style of Beatrice's dress suited her. I was expecting something else, but think it came out well.

Kate wore a suitable color, but the flash I saw of her dress suggested it was very true to type for her.

Meghan was playing with her hair the entire time she was walking inside. Why the dark colors? Why?

A lovely lovely bride.  Great to see the love between them.  So genuine.  Loved the dress and the way she paid tribute to the doctors who had
cared for her during her operation, that also explains why there was no veil.  I was a little disappointed at the choice of tiara.  I had expected the fringe tiara, but the one she wore complimented her wedding present from Jack, of the beautiful  earrings.

The two readings were very good, and Beatrice did well considering the dylexia.

Here is an image of the wedding cake. I don't know how to embed it without it taking up the whole page. However, the jewel color theme is there. I think it's a lovely cake.

Eugenie looked lovely today, a true dream princess. Best dress I've seen in years. They looked genuinely happy. It always surprises me how sweet and lively the York girs are, they come across much better in live footage  then they do in photo's.

I really liked the wedding. This is to me what a wedding in windsor should be. Loves the dress and the whole styling for Eugenie.

It was nice to see what circles Eugenie and Jack moves. And I dont want to compare but it was another level above Harry's.

I thought the beckhams and the clooneys would attend? Any rumour?

OK, I'm going to sound really negative here:

-This wedding was a horrific waste of money, it didn't need to be so big and extravagant, and as a UK taxpayer it makes me so angry. There was no need for it to be in St George's Chapel with a carriage ride. Eugenie is a minor royal who doesn't carry out engagements so why should we have to pay for any of this when people in our country are starving?

-I like parts of Eugenie's dress (the back was really nice) but the neckline doesn't suit her and looked very matronly

-The hair and tiara reminded me too much of Meggles - I was really hoping she'd wear something softer like the Strathmore Rose, and have her hair either completely down or completely up, not with strands blowing about

-The bouquet was drab and a bit dated looking - I don't like the cascade style

-Lots of Z list celebrities there

It honestly just looked like a copy of Harry and Meghan's wedding.

^I'll agree that the wedding was a waste and too extravagant, now imagine Beatrice's, she'll wed at Westminster to top her sister since she is the eldest York daughter.  laugh

And I'll agree it was just like H&M's with the celebs. Naomi Campbell, Demi Moore, and Liv Tyler?!  blink Do they know the bride and groom?!

Where was Oprah, ya'll?  dontknow

Nice photo here

I will defend Megs this one time because even the Countess of Wessex and Liz Tyler wore navy  Shocked

@Buflesse
As a UK tax payer I totally agree with you as do most of the population.
It’s being said that PA is resentful of the attention the other recent brides were getting when his daughter is the only true Royal blood princess.  He is said to particularly detest the social climbing Midds.

I think she’s the most beautiful looking bride since Princess Anne.

^^^^ I agree with you about the money. The money for the wedding should have come from the Yorks. It isn't right to put public monies towards things that don't benefit the public. There will be parties tomorrow, too.

I was really thinking Oprah would be there, too. Why go to H's wedding but not E's, especially since Oprah and Fergie have ties.

^^ Val, who doesn't detest the Midds? I also think that PA was determined to give his daughter a wedding befitting her status as a princess, but he should have paid for it. I know I'm preaching to the choir.

ETA: That picture of MM with the camera and Harry is glorious.  laugh laugh It'll be used to good effect, in time, I'm sure.

Exactly. I also think this was HM putting her foot down. Then she was young she was a princess of York. There is no reason why a royal princess should not have a royal wedding. This could be a sign towards Chuck and the Mansons that the Yorks can't be eradicated.

Exactly - if PA wanted a wedding befitting of a princess for Eugenie, he should have paid for it.

Eugenie looked beautiful and her dress was well fitted.  The design in the fabric was a special touch too.

Kate forgot her dress weights again. The expression on Sophie's face is discernible even from the side. Anyway, I saw some bingo cards for the wedding that had this on it.

Quite sparse crowds gather in Windsor today in comparison to May nuptials.

^^  A flash from Waity!  Never would have predicted she'd do it at a wedding standing fairly close to the queen.  As always, she smiles when it happens.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6268487/Royals-aristocrats-arrive-Windsor-Castle-Princess-Eugenie-wed-Jack-Brooksbank.html

Newlyweds Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank have already started two days of partying with their royal relatives and celebrity friends after a poignant father's farewell from Prince Andrew.

The couple have enjoyed an afternoon reception inside Windsor Castle's St George's Hall organised by the Queen where the 850 guests enjoyed finger food and wedding cake all washed down with Pol Roger champagne.

MailOnline can reveal that during a series of tear-jerking speeches the Duke of York broke with royal tradition to give his new son-in-law a hug in front of the Queen.

Jack's speech was ‘filled with devotion to Eugenie’ and he told his new wife she 'lights up his life and makes him feel complete'.

Poignantly the father of the bride then waited by the castle door and held her train as she climbed into a rare DB10 Aston Martin with the help of older sister Beatrice.

Tonight Eugenie's divorced parents will host 'one hell of a party' at the family home, insiders have said.

The Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park has had a fairground set up in the garden, complete with dodgems and a coconut shy and after a wild night tonight the celebrations will go into Saturday, with a 'more relaxed' bash with a 'festival vibe' lasting all day.

Prince Andrew and Sarah, the Duchess of York, have brought in the company who helped plan the Beckhams' reception for their daughter's own celebrity-packed royal wedding attended by A-listers including Naomi Campbell, Liv Tyler, Demi Moore, Robbie Williams, Ellie Goulding, James Blunt and Kate Moss.

One source said: 'There will be dodgems and funfair rides, coconut shies, lots of food stalls, loads of cocktails, bloody Marys for the hangovers and a festival vibe' while the family's gardener said: 'The setup looks amazing so I'm sure it will be one hell of a party.'

The Queen and the Duke of York have paid for Eugenie and Jack's three wedding parties from their own funds, the Palace has said.

It continues onward...

We will never know whether they have paid for the wedding parties, personally IMO I think it is the taxpayer.  Anyone will lie for them, but I would need firm proof, which will never be forthcoming, that they paid it out of their own pockets.  I don´t believe a word the rf push out these days, they will lie through the back teeth to cover things up.  They are such a mean family, even HM asked for a grant several years ago to repair the roof at BP.  With her billions off shore and some of them hidden she should pay for it herself.  Nope, I truly think us taxpayers funded this, be rare for the windsors to put their hands in their pockets and fork out some money, would need to go in the history books.  She is only a minor royal, let grandma and pa pay for the wedding, but as above, I don´t think for one minute that they did.  eating cookies
