Tuesday 19 June to Saturday 23 June

Everything you need to know about Royal Ascot 2018
The clue's in the name. Royal Ascot is June's five-day meeting that has the Queen and other royals in attendance, having trundled down from Windsor Castle in carriages. Wear a hat and pronounce it as 'As-kut'. Not 'As-cot'. Here's everything else you need to know about Royal Ascot 2018...

Is there any significance to Prince Andrew riding with HM while Bea and Eugenie ride with PC and Camilla?

Sophie making conversation with the others in the landau. It looked at one moment as if she was losing an earring or something as she was talking, but recovered.

^So do I.  Very pretty.

Whoever worked on MM’s hat gets a cookie.  It’s polished and her hair is tamed.  But, the dress is a big fat no.  Makeup is way overdone, too.  Anyway, a shirtwaist dress with weirdo hemming, structured belt and midriff wrinkling?  It does not cross the line from street or business wear to Ascot nor does it balance the hat.

I think she was trying for an Audrey Hepburn My Fair Lady theme but no.  Just no.

The Queen, looking very happy, chatting with the Sussexes in the Royal Enclosure.

I like Eugenie's hat too.  Both the very pale blue color and the tassle.  Very sophisticated!

^^^ I agree with you on MM's hat and dress.  I the dress is supposed to be elegant, but the collar and the fit of it on MM are fighting that idea.  She has a short waist, which rarely makes a shirt dress look as it should.  I am very short waisted, and have seen for myself that it doesn't work well.

Meghan and Eugenie looked great.... I think Eugenie has learned how to dress for her body type.

Again, where are the Cambridges??  On a bender, or holiday.... or both.  bored3

William had an engagement elsewhere today. I suppose Kate is at Anmer. No Prince Philip, though he is at Windsor.

Photo of Charles with the Sussexes. There's a photo in the Fail I think of the Queen looking directly into Meghan's face and smiling

I still believe the givenchy designer is not good for Meghan. She looked way better in any designer than her.

She should have wore today something similar to the garden party.

The one she wore is a complete mess that looks out of place with the rest of the royal women.

The hat is ok but I dont know it it suits her face.

^You know what?  Now that I look at the hat again, you’re right.  The whole thing just doesn’t work.  It clashes with everyone and the occasion.  The black pumps are yucky too.
