Harry has had heads of State and known politicians attending the Games. George Bush, Joe Biden, Obama have all visited as have PMs like Trudeau. Charles, William and Kate aren't celebrities. They were there at the London IG. Melania, wife of the POTUS, was present at Toronto, as was PM Trudeau and the Canadian Governor General. None of them are celebrities. And the Crown Prince and Princess of Denmark aren't either. They will be there to support the Danish competitors.

Okay cool, so why does he need celebrities traveling with him? Can't this just be a non-celeb dominated event?

I don't think Beckham will be travelling with the Royal party to Australia. Nor do I think that DB will be really prominent when the Games start. I think he's just a sideshow, frankly.
And I can just imagine the outrage if HM wrote a cheque for the millions of pounds it takes to stage the IG. The tabloids would go crazy with 'Granny is buying her grandson a charity show.' And British people would be screaming 'If she can do that why not a few million for the National Health Service, hospitals, the police, aged, etc...'

And why don't the privileged grandsons take on NHS problems as charity... Would it be because they won't be able to jetset around the world with a celeb entourage cause, you know, they think they are so cool.

Centrepoint is a large homeless charity, with William as patron for many years. The Heads Together programme deals with mental health and the NHS is involved with that. The BRF can't get too much involved in the problems involved with the NHS or they would run foul of govt politicians and the Ministry of Health.

Harry qualified as an Apache pilot after a long period of training along with other recruits. It involved actually flying the Apache under test conditions at the end of training. If he hadn't passed he wouldn't have been allowed to fly in a war zone. If he wasn't able to fly then that would have leaked out years ago, especially among his aircrew in Afghanistan.

The NHS is not a charity. It is a government run organisation which means they can't get involved - it is political. Each of the political parties have different policies regarding the NHS and if either of the Princes came out and supported one side's policies over the other they would be putting themselves in the wrong position and could even find themselves opening opposing the government of the day.

They both are supportive of health issues but they can't support an organisation which is not a charity but is run by government department.

How Prince Harry Comforted a Military Widow Who Climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge with Him
Moments after Prince Harry helped raise the iconic Invictus Games flag on the top of Sydney Harbour Bridge, he comforted a serviceman’s widow who joined him on the climb.

Gwen Cherne, 41, who was one of the select group scaling the bridge with the prince, shared how a sympathetic Harry listened to the story of her late husband, Australian special forces officer Peter J. Cafe, who died by suicide in February 2017 at the age of 48.

The pair spoke for nearly 10 minutes on the descent and the prince asked about her children – Emily, 6, Lachlan, 3, and stepson Tom, 19 – and how the family was coping.

“Lachlan is the spitting image of my husband. Harry said something like the children must remind you of him, or live on in him. And I said my son is so much like him,” Cherne, who grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, tells PEOPLE. “It was comfortable and thoughtful.”https://people.com/royals/prince-harry-comforted-service-widow-sydney-harbour-bridge-climb/?utm_source=twitter.com&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=social-share-article

NEVER *despise* correction, for those who correct you ,truly LOVE you .They are willing to displease you and possibly lose your friendship ,rather than see you destroyed. Those who *despise* you ,on the other hand ,will allow you to FAIL...because what do they care ?

Every praise is not good and every criticism is not evil..!
