MEggles and Waity will never be as close as Diana and Sarah were; M&W are too self centered to be friends.

Duchess on duty! Meghan's first official role as a member of the monarchy is revealed as she formally becomes part of the The Royal Foundation

The new Duchess of Sussex has officially become part of the organisation
It's in process of being renamed The Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex
Meghan's first engagement with William and Kate was Royal Foundation Forum
Newlywed made her Trooping The Colour debut in London on Saturday

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-5838355/Meghan-formally-Royal-Foundation.html

Who'd have expected that?? What a surprise!! Not.

Stella McCartney says Meghan’s wedding reception gown was her last chance to reflect her ‘human side’ before taking on ‘austere’ royal role

Stella McCartney has spoken of 'pride' at make the stunning halterneck dress
Meghan wore floor-length design for evening reception at Frogmore House
Appearance was Meghan's final appearance before taking on her 'very austere, very serious' royal role as the Duchess of Sussex, McCartney told the BBC

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-5838885/Stella-McCartney-says-Meghans-gown-chance-reflect-joy.html

Well Stella, that's a load of bollocks, isn't it? Just because she can't pose in underwear anymore or do her job in underwear or with a crop top, that doesn't mean that her style now is "austere", "inhuman" or "has no personailty". I'd call the dress code requirements now "classy", "dignified" and "professional", but maybe that's just me.
Her first trooping appearance was also anything but "serious", "inhuman" or "austere".

Will Meghan win an EMMY? The Duchess of Sussex has been put forward for a prestigious acting award for her final season of Suits
Meghan could be in the running for an Emmy - after being put forward for an award for her final season of the legal drama.

The former actress, 36, could be nominated in the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series category, for her role as Rachel Zane.

A representative for the USA Network has confirmed that the Duchess of Sussex has been put forward for consideration in the category.

Meghan has not previously won any major awards for her role in Suits, meaning this will be her last chance to pick up a prestigious gong.http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-5839443/Meghan-Markle-win-Emmy-forward-acting-award.html#comments

DM picked it up from ET

The Duchess of Sussex has been submitted for Emmy consideration in the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series category by USA Network for her role Rachel Zane on Suits, a network rep confirmed to ET on Tuesday. It is not unusual for USA to submit the main cast for Emmy voting.

Markle's category is highly competitive, with standout stars like Chrissy Metz from This Is Us; Thandie Newton from Westworld; The Handmaid's Tale actresses Ann Dowd, who won the award last year, and Alexis Bledel; Millie Bobby Brown from Stranger Things; the ladies from Orange Is the New Black; and Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams from Game of Thrones among the actresses vying for a nomination. The likelihood of Markle -- who has never earned a major award nomination for Suits -- slipping in for a surprise nomination for her final season is slim.

Patrick J. Adams, who portrayed Markle's onscreen husband, Mike Ross, was also submitted for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, along with Gabriel Macht (Harvey Specter). The other main Suits cast submitted for consideration include Rick Hoffman (Louis Litt) for Supporting Actor, Sarah Rafferty (Donna Paulsen) for Supporting Actress and Gina Torres (Jessica Pearson) for Guest Actress.

Despite Markle's new royal status, the 36-year-old newly retired actress being in the mix for an Emmy is not out of the ordinary. USA Network has always submitted the main cast every year, but none have received an Emmy nomination for the first six seasons. Could this finally be the year someone from the cast gets recognized at the Emmys? It's highly unlikely, as Adams -- who received a surprise Screen Actors Guild Award nomination in 2012 -- is the only actor who has received any type of awards recognition in the past.

Oh come on no way she should be put in the running for an Emmy during her suit run she has yet to give an Emmy worthy performance. If thats a big if she get a nom its only because she's now a duchess and they think she might just show up

^I can totally see them nominating her in hope that both her and PH will show up to the Emmys. Hope she knows it has nothing to do with her mediocre acting on a cable TV show and everything to do with the family she is married in to.

I doubt she'd show up even if nominated. But it would give some PR hype for the show. IMO.

Now I’ve heard everything.  This Forum has a better chance of receiving a drama award.

^ lmao seriously!!

^^ I think it's PR for the Emmys and Suits, I don't think the Winds are trying to buy her an award (stoopid Harry might try though), I think the Winds would recoil in horror at the suggestion (just imagine Liz, Phil & Chuck!) and say "No. End of."
At best, again stoopid H has his finger in this, or M directly. Not sure I can rule out M not being behind this, putting whispers out through "her people". It would certainly enrich her mantle: trophy for her career, a ring with stones from Diana, a title, a coat of arms, living in Europe, European citizenship winking at her, living in a palace with staff...

The attempt (by the Emmys, Suits, and maybe M) is so transparent though, it's beyond laughable.

Shows pretty much submit everyone connected for noms with the hopes that something will stick. I'm sure they've done this in the past with her. Considering how little respect the community has for her, I doubt she would get enough votes should she secure a nom - which is a stretch in and of itself. It's only getting attention now because of who she married.
