Meghan Markle could earn an Emmy nomination for 'Suits' despite royal status
Hollywood refuses to give up on Meghan Markle.

The American actress, who became the Duchess of Sussex after her May 19 wedding to Britain’s Prince Harry, could be in the running for an Emmy award.

A rep for USA Network confirmed to Fox News Wednesday the 36-year-old’s name was submitted for the “Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series” category for her role as Rachel Zane in USA Network’s legal drama “Suits.”

"Meghan Markle was entered by the awards consultants for the USA Network," a Television Academy spokesperson told Fox News. "They verified that she and/or her reps were aware that the entry was being made and had advised to go ahead and proceed with the submission.”

Markle has not previously won any major awards for her character, meaning this could be her last chance to receive the prestigious honor as she confirmed in November her retirement from acting.

If Meghan gets a nom that will be a load of BS

Quote
But despite Markle’s royal status, being potentially nominated for an Emmy isn’t unusual. ET noted USA Network has always submitted the main cast of “Suits” every year, but none have received an Emmy nomination for the first six seasons

That will be such a shocker that now she gets a nom.

Her new normal. It’s been nearly a month since Duchess Meghan (nee Markle) married Prince Harry in front of 600 guests — and millions of viewers around the world — and the new royal is loving her post-wedding role, a source close to the former Suits star exclusively tells Us Weekly.

Duchess Meghan Through the Years
“She’s so happy. She’s really enjoying her new life,” the source tells Us. “It’s been very busy the last couple of months and she’s booked up for the rest of the summer, but she’s happy to finally be back in a routine and have the wedding be over. There are no travel plans booked as of now, besides work trips.”

^Isn't that the same magazine who just last week ran a story claiming they had a "source" that said Meghan was already tired of all the rules that come with the BRF?

EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: Did Meghan Markle ask sleazy publicist Max Clifford to make her a star in Britain
During her television interview after her engagement to Harry was announced, Meghan Markle insisted she ‘didn’t know much’ about the Prince before meeting him on a blind date.
The American former actress did, however, have a long-standing interest in becoming famous in this country.
Indeed, word reaches me that Meghan was so keen she even consulted the notorious ‘kiss-and-tell’ publicist Max Clifford.
‘Meghan spoke to Max when she was looking for British representation,’ claims one of Clifford’s friends.
Another source close to the spin doctor alleges: ‘She considered Max while weighing up who was best placed to make her a star in the UK.’
A Kensington Palace source is, understandably, eager to play down the claims, insisting: ‘This is not true.’
Of course, Clifford is no longer around to give his side of the story, as he died in December at the age of 74, days after suffering a heart attack.
Intriguingly, however, Meghan, now 36, did end up being represented by one of Clifford’s proteges, 38-year-old Jessica Huie.

The Londoner, who worked for Clifford for some six years, was employed by Meghan from 2015 with the task of raising her profile. She certainly succeeded: Meghan met Harry the following year.
Like Meghan, Jessica is the daughter of mixed-race parents and said of the Duchess earlier this year: ‘I liked her. We connected and we got talking about race. I found her impressive: she was quick-witted and honest.’
Whatever the truth of the claims, Meghan certainly had a lucky escape. Clifford was arrested in December 2012 on suspicion of sexual offences, as part of Operation Yewtree, soon after Meghan is said to have approached him.
In 2014, he was found guilty of eight counts of indecent assault on four girls and women aged 15 to 19 and sentenced to eight years in prison.
The publicist for famous names including Kerry Katona and the late Jade Goody, Clifford was best known for selling tawdry accounts of affairs to red-top newspapers, which helped bring down Conservative ministers such as David Mellor.

Lies, sleeve and nothing positive sums up what she’s about. She uses racism to get what she wants.
^Of course now she’ll say and agree to anything to keep her where she is now.

I guess being married to Harry has not been what Meghan thought it would be, so she is now trying to use an Emmy as an excuse to get back to LA in order to get the attention that she is so desperately craves.

Early nominations can be made but many do not make the cut. I doubt Meghan would attend even if she gets the nomination. Which I find highly unlikely.

Meghan Markle shamed for bearing her shoulders by online trolls claiming she 'craves the limelight'
Online trolls have shamed newlywed Meghan Markle for bearing her shoulders during a royal engagement, claiming she broke protocol.
The Duchess of Sussex wore a stunning dusty pink Carolina Herrera dress to the Trooping the Colour ceremony - but the off-shoulder cut stirred controversy, with some claiming "she'll never be a lady".
Others declared she "craves the limelight" as they slated her outfit choice and compared her to the Duchess of Cambridge.

She has more pressing problems than this.

Prince Michael of Kent snuggles his wife in striking portraits celebrating the Royal couple's ruby wedding anniversary
The Duchess of Sussex (below )has picked up a very unusual Royal nickname, my Palace moles reveal. Meghan was initially christened ‘Tungsten’ by Prince Charles – because she is tough and unbending, just like the very strong metal – and the affectionate name has stuck. Says my Royal whisperer: ‘Prince Charles admires Meghan for her strength and the backbone she gives Harry, who needs a tungsten-type figure in his life as he can be a bit of a softy. It’s become a term of endearment.’

She probably expected a huge manor like Anmer, lots of cool jewels and tons of photo ops.

Just saw her in the 2016 film Daters Handbook which I guess she made before meeting Harry. hHer acting was too over the top even for a the goodie two shoe Romantic comedy. And she played a lily White heroin with lily white parents and friends.  So much for her black heritage.
She still not that attractive in my opinion and I don't get it but Harry loves her so whatever

^^ Pretty much..

^ Wow I'll have to look into that!
I don't find her attractive either. Ever since her chicken legs have been pointed out, it's all I see, plus her equally chicken leg style wrists....

As the old saying goes, "You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear."

Meghan will always be inappropriate because she is way out of her league.  She is trying to belong to something that she will never truly belong too.

Revealed: Prince Charles' VERY unusual nickname for daughter-in-law Meghan - and it's inspired by her 'tough' and 'unbending' nature
Meghan, 36, was initially christened 'Tungsten' by Prince Charles because she is tough and unbending, just like the very strong metal, according to palace sources.
While it might not appear like the most flattering of comparisons, it is intended as a compliment by Charles, 69, and the affectionate name has stuck.

Meh it happens, Meh land, United States, 4 minutes ago
Let me tell you guys more about Tungsten and then decide what Charles really thinks about her. Tungsten is a difficult metal to work with and exposure to it causes cancer. When melting, it bubbles, makes hissing noises and foams like a rabid dog, thus also know as wolfram...

Tungsten - cold, hard, brittle and hard to work with.
lisa, somewhere in CT, United States, 8 minutes ago
Someone who is tough and unbending generally doesn't do well in marriage, since for it to be successful, it requires quite a bit of compromise.

Odd how this is in DM again under it’s own full article.  eating cookies

Strong unending rare and toxic to human life.
Either Charles is an idiot and doesn't understand metals or he's telling us something creepy about her or as Sandy said it may not be true.  I wonder what she did or said to get that name by him.

Meghan Markle Makes Her Royal Ascot Debut in Monochrome Givenchy

Meghan continues working with the designer for her latest major appearance.

Since returning from her honeymoon just over a week ago, Meghan Markle has been keeping up an extremely busy schedule, as she checks off a whole slew of “firsts” in her new role as the Duchess of Sussex. She’s handled Trooping the Colour, as well as her first “off-site” day trip with the Queen, and on Tuesday, Meghan arrived at her first Royal Ascot, the formal carriage procession that marks the beginning of a five-day racing extravaganza in Berkshire.

Meghan arrived for the festivities in a carriage along with Prince Harry (donning a top hat), Prince Edward, and Countess Sophie, with Meghan spotted “sharing a joke” with Sophie as they made their way onto the premises. (It’s always amusing how even the slightest whispered aside at these events, when everyone is watching, become used as proof of a great convivial bond.)

Meghan again wore a Givenchy look, after working with the designer for both her wedding and her dress for her day with the Queen. And, as she has for nearly all her major events since becoming a royal, Meghan decided to wear a dress in the white-cream-beige family, as she chose a white collared dress, accessorized with a white and black Philip Treacy hat. (A royal correspondent for The Sun deemed the look “Audrey Hepburn-esque.”)
