Mods, please move my post in the engagement thread regarding this event here. Thanks.

IMO, this is solely for the appeasement of some commonwealth countries because she’s been shown over and over to be very unsuitable for the job at hand. The comments are scathing and basically saying that the monarchy will end upon the queen’s death.

Total overkill to have a fiance (Meg) attend first the foundation thing in such a capacity and now join the family, incl Liz. Same for the Xmas walk. Frankly, it's weird. Though on the other hand should give her a taste for the real thing and what it is like being part of the firm. Guess it has its advantage too.

Meghan Markle Just Announced Her Biggest Royal Date Yet — with the Queen!
Quote
It is thought that Meghan, alongside Harry, will have a big role to play in a Commonwealth organization when she joins the family. She addressed that commitment at the Royal Foundation Forum earlier this week, and previously addressed her interest in learning more about the Commonwealth during her engagement interview.

This is quite crazy. Has anyone notified the queen that this trolop will be in attendance?  eating cookies

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle, The Duke of York, The Princess Royal, The Countess of Wessex, The Duchess of Gloucester & Princess Alexandra are all due to attend alongside Her Majesty.

The Queen, Head of the Commonwealth, and Members of The Royal Family will attend the Commonwealth Service at @wabbey on 12 March to celebrate #CommonwealthDay.

The service, organised by @TheRCSLondon, is the largest annual inter-faith gathering in the UK and will be broadcast live on @BBCOne & @bbcworldservice, in celebration of Her Majesty's lifetime commitment to the Commonwealth.

This year's Commonwealth Service on #CommonwealthDay will feature a special musical performance by @LiamPayne, who attended The @QueensLeaders Award ceremony in June last year.

^^ Yes, the Queen always knows which members of the family, and future members, are going to be present at official engagements, whether she herself is present or not.

^^ Really looks like it.... Do they do themes though? I'm not aware of that but it would be one hell of a conincidence for them all to have picked navy (& white).
Harry seems to wear a navy suit with a purple tie (purple like Liz's outfit), Bill's tie seems to be in the area of blurple too, and Charles's...?

No more Harry next to Waity, she can't flirt with him anymore! Must be the worst service for her so far, now there's emptiness in the space next to her sigh

Meg next to Randy Andy  tehe

Meg looks good, indeed, the white coat I can't help but think is a "I'm the bride" choice...

Marvellous and impressive service, as usual. They really do this well, and WA is a great place to hold it. A very large turnout of senior royals as well.

I thought Meghan looked very nice. Loved the coat, didn't mind the hat and the shoes are fine. The Queen looked very well, and the colour she wore suited her. I've never seen a shade or colour that she doesn't suit.

She really can't fit in can she? This is supposed to be a solemn service and she's acting like a giggling schoolgirl.
