It's a royal SNOW show! Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are forced to cancel their final engagement in Sweden due to wintry weather

Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were due to visit Uppsala Airbase this morning after two days in Sweden
Royal entourage were forced to cancel the engagement in the early hours of Thursday morning due to snow
They flew instead from Stockholm to Oslo Gardermoen Airport, Norway, for the second leg of their royal tour
Couple will have lunch at the Royal Palace with King Harald, Queen Sonja and the Crown Prince and Princess

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were scheduled to visit Uppsala Airbase before departing for Norway this morning. Unfortunately, heavy snow forced the cancellation of their final Swedish engagement. Due to the change of plans, they left from Arlanda Airport in Stockholm rather than Uppsala, where they received a briefing on the Swedish Armed Forces from Defence Minister Peter Hultqvist.

A shame that Estelle & Oscar didn't meet the Cambs in their bathrobes, those are the perfect frocks to greet your guests in!

Exchanging gifts, looks like the Glücksburgs of Norway have prepared a lot more than the Cambs, with a so far unseen pic from last summer's photosession; I also wonder why only Will's "W" cypher was used and not the combined "WC" they have as couple?

PS

Kate's right-hand women! Hairdresser who shared snap of Duchess' beauty products unloads her bags in Oslo - and she's joined by the stylist behind the royal's VERY daring tour looks

Duke and Duchess of Cambridge landed in Oslo today for second leg of the tour
Kate was joined by hairdresser Amanda Cook Turner and stylist Natasha Archer
Amanda made headlines when she shared a snap of Kate's hair products
Natasha has been responsible for the royal's unusually daring tour ensembles

The only thing daring about her looks is her overly inflated plastic surgerized potato head face topped with a mountain of fake hair.

I might be wrong, this might feature the combined "WC" cypher..

Imo, hands-down, Kate's best outfit this tour so far and also generally I really like this.
Seems like Liz gave K her bracelet as longterm loan.

She's got that glow! Pregnant Kate looks radiant as she shows off her growing bump in a blue lace dress on a visit to a technology exhibit with the Norwegian royals

The frock does not sit right on the bodice part  -  surely that should have been noticed by whoever sold her the frock, or maybe another disaster from her "dresser" - I use the term loosely as very little they advise her on is up to much.  With all the money and the expertise at their disposal, and still it doesn´t look right.

https://media.gettyimages.com/photos/catherine-duchess-of-cambridge-is-escorted-into-dinner-by-king-harald-picture-id913111820

imo one of her best "evening" looks. I don't like the embroidery, I don't know, sth more "delicate" would be nicer, but that's nit-picking.

Mette & Haakon

https://media.gettyimages.com/photos/crown-princess-mette-marit-of-norway-and-crown-prince-haakon-of-walk-picture-id913116336

Sonja seems to be a fan of ruffles, I don't particularly like them, but I'll cut this lovely lady tons of slack easter-egg-basket

https://media.gettyimages.com/photos/prince-william-duke-of-cambridge-is-escorted-into-dinner-by-queen-of-picture-id913112296

PS By looking at these pics I just realized that we don't see the dress, because the embroidered bit is the cape! Would like to see the dress without the cape. Unless I got that wrong by looking at the pics, anyway, still like this one a lot.

PPS Also interesting that none of these events have been "tiara events" and K only wore a tiara a handful of times at Buck P receptions... If this had been a Scandi only visit (eg the Bernadotte's at the Glücksburg's) or perhaps Scandi/ Spain / or anywhere else, then this evening would have been a tiara reception.. In Sweden Vic & Dan were officially the hosts, so fine no tiara even there, but here it's Sonja & Harald, or not?

And the point of this mini tour is exactly.....??

Swedish media person and TV4 programme host Ebba Kleberg von Sedow (who has hosted Royal weddings and TV programmes on the Royal family, writes that because Sweden hadnt invited William and Kate (they just wanted to come) there wasn't any official welcome at the airport when they arrived.

^ That makes sense, the Cambs are famous for inviting themselves... How many times have we had one of them say they (or either one of them) would "love to visit XY" and next thing you know, a tour is announced, basically a taxpayer funded "official" holiday with a whole new wardrobe and private jets.

It also occurred to me that not only want the Cambs to travel and ask for tours to cross places off their personal bucket list, but I also fully believe that these two are simply not in demand. If they don't ask for tours and don't hoist themselves on unsuspecting victims, they wouldn't ever be outside Britain on diplomatic visits and tours.

I agree. They are not the power couple the press like to make out.

Am I alone in worrying that Kate's clothes are turning Camilla-ish? JAN MOIR says the choices on the royals' tour were a new low

IMO, her stylist needs sacking. the press is really trying to make her stylish and regal, but the hard sell isn't working.

Grecian goddess! Pregnant Kate is back on form in a VERY glamorous pink gown as she joins Norway's royals for dinner - after her fashion choices were branded 'frumpy'

Willy always looks as if he wished he could be somewhere else.  One commenter said that Kate looked like a ship in full sail in her pink ensemble.

I don't get why she chose that yellow outfit it looks like something from a thrift shop.
