Very interesting article from another forum

‘I have been looking everywhere for such a summary as this and helpfully Bernard Jenkin has posted it on Con Home.
I don't think he mentions this human rights business with any A50 extension which is unlikely to happen anyway. But to repeat. If, in theory, A50 could be extended it could only be until July
2019 at the very latest due to EU elections and a new parliament. If we are not allowed anyMEPs there will be all. Sorts of problems/writes etc as we would have. No legal representation.

Anyway here's Bernard Jenkin’

Very interesting comment found on another forum

‘It is suspected that her hubby is behind May's intransigence as well.  Philip May manages trillions of pounds for several European companies and There is no doubt that he has been leant on (and, possibly, received payment in kind) to ensure that the UK never really leaves the EU.  And if May were such a committed Christian, then as Home Secretary and now as PM, she would have stopped the influx of young Muslim men into the UK.  But she is continuing to adhere to the Coudenhove-Kalergi Plan and its eventual destruction of white, Christian European civilisation.  It's the Plan that dare not speak its name...

To paraphrase Bomber Harris (great man - no messing around with the Nazis!!), the Tories have sown the wind and they will reap the whirlwind at the next GE.   They are totally finished now.’

Another really important Brexit article

Jenny Lamont 7 Jan 2019 11:15AM

The Mps have not yet realised they are not in charge of this process

The Treaty of Lisbon sets out the process
Negotiate a Withdrawal Agreement - Ratify new Treaty - Leave after 2 years - or
Negotiate a Withdrawal Agreement - Fail to Ratify new treaty - Leave after 2 years

How can the UK PM unilaterally stop no deal - she is not in control of Article 50

The ECJ stated that we can revoke Article 50 but ONLY if the Govt is mandated to remain in - there is no mandate to do this so the Govt cannot unilaterally revoke Article 50

The Govt could seek another referendum - however they have no mandate to do that - they were elected on a manifesto to Leave the EU

The Govt would need to hold another election - have in their manifesto a commitment to hold a vote - win - legislate for the vote and hold the vote before the UK leaves the EU - they would need to get agreement from all EU27 to delay Article 50 by almost a year - with an unpredictable result

There are 45 Parliamentary days left - barely enough time for Mays deal to pass the hurdles before 29th March - yet alone the GE - campaign etc

So just how is one woman supposed to stop no deal if her withdrawal agreement is voted down.

Thanks Winsor2, really informative articles which say it all.  Politics in the UK will never be the same again especially as the public will never trust their MP’s again.

Interesting article showing g how traitirous our Prime Minister is and how she's been working against a decent Brexit plan all along

https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2019/01/16/ex-minister-pm-cabal-abused-constitution-eu-deal-behind-brexit-secretary-back/

The Former junior Brexit minister Steve Baker MP has said that the Prime Minister’s cabal “abused” the British constitution to negotiate her failed “Brexit In Name Only” deal behind the Brexit Department’s back.
Mr Baker told Sky News on Wednesday that the only option to save Brexit is to push for the free trade agreement which was offered by the bloc a year ago.

The Deputy Chairman of the European Research Group (ERC) group of Tory Brexiteers led by Jacob Rees-Mogg explained that he and other ministers at the Department for Exiting the European Union (DExEU) had agreed on that approach last summer and told officials they wanted a free trade agreement-based Brexit, and that “within weeks” the EU had made a corresponding offer.d” the British constitution to negotiate her failed “Brexit In Name Only” deal behind the Brexit Department’s back.

Another reason for leaving the EU. This is not an army to defend from foreign agression but to put down internal dissent and control populations

If we dont ger nato support it makes sense to at leat organise eu countries better. They always cooperate doesnt make sense to buy x when another country still has it. Doubt they will create a literal eu army it just means more cooperation as it should be.

There should be only one law in the UK; British Law. Those who setle on these shores shouldn't be able to bring their backward brutal practices with them.  sauer sauer sauer
Soaring numbers of young girls in Britain are having their breasts 'ironed' by hot stones in African ritual to stop them growing in the belief that it will protect them from male attention
The dangerous procedure has been employed against 1,000 women and girls
They have suffered serious conditions as a result of breast-ironing
Pre-teen girls from African families living in London and Yorkshire are targeted
There is no specific law against breast-ironing in the UK
The Government has insisted it is 'absolutely committed' to stamping out the practice
Campaigners, church ministers and medics say it is taking place in UK cities, and that they have seen girls who have suffered serious health problems as a result of having their chests flattened.
The ritual is thought to be mainly carried out by mothers and grandmothers from African countries, who believe that stunting the growth of girls' breasts will protect them from male attention.
But unlike another harmful cultural practice, female genital mutilation (FGM), which is the subject of a multi-million-pound campaign by Ministers and police forces, there is currently little action being taken to investigate or stop breast-ironing from taking place.
Female relatives of a pre-pubescent girl will use hot stones to massage her breast tissue in an attempt to stunt its growth, and then repeat the practice as often as once a week.
Unlike FGM, there is no specific law against breast-ironing in the UK but if cases were reported to the police, they would be treated as child abuse.
The Government has insisted that it is 'absolutely committed' to stamping out the practice. But activists and social workers claim that little has been done so far.

Interesting comment from another forum re Brexit

‘And now, the Electoral Commission (that really really impartial, unbiased, completely fair body) has said that it can give itself powers to punish electoral expenses crimes, and similar.  Well, we all expect THAT to work, don't we?  The Leave side will be rotting in jail for ever...  Whereas the Remain side will be slurping ambrosia at the right hand of whoever's PM after May is deposed.  Or gets a job in Brussels, whichever comes first.

Bl—dy sickening!  What with that, and Bercow choosing only the amendments that he & the elite fancy, I guess we're in with a good chance, eh?

NOT!!

So much for there being empty shelves with Brexit.   There wasn’t before we joined and we won’t be now.   A comment from another.

‘The beans I bought today came from Kenya, the bananas from Equador, the plum tomatoes from Morocco and the Merlot from Oz!  And Hotel Chocolat's produce from Saint Lucia!  S-d the EU - we don’t need them’!

Yes. It's Project Fear.

Two discount supermarkets in the form of Aldi and Lidl will hardly be affected by Brexit as most of their food is locally sourced.  bored3  (nearest emoji I could find for food)! But you can't buy everything there and they do have a limited range.

Legally if all else fails we have to leave on March 29.

Comment from a political forum below -

29 March cannot be delayed because the Exiting  EU Bill was given The Royal Assent on 26 June 2018.  No deal is the default option and the only way that can be changed is by repealing that Act and replacing it with another Act.   Impossible in the time frame.
