The princess who made her parents proud: Queen Letizia beams as her daughter Sofia, 10, celebrates her First Communion alongside her picture-perfect family

- Family joined Princess Sofia, 10, for her First Communion at Asuncion de Nuestra Senora Church in Madrid
- Like her sister, Princess Leonor, Princess Sofia was taking part in the ceremony alongside her classmates
- Royals traditionally take their First Communion alone at the Palacio Real in Madrid
- Queen Letizia looked chic in a mint green coatdress, whilst her husband donned a matching tie

The beautiful Leonor and Sophia, in fact, stole the thunder of Pippa on DM for a while... they were THE MAIN headline!

Such an adorable family. Look at the princesses smiling and waving and shaking hands with the public. Meanwhile William and Kate spout nonsense about 'protecting' their little darlings from the press and are bringing them up to show contempt towards the press and public.

These 2 princesses are a real asset to the Spanish total family, unlike the fakes we in the UK are lumbered with. Their parents must be so proud  of them.

^ ^ I agree that the Cambridges hide their children away too much. However the two young Infantas are not shown off regularly either, only a couple of times a year and on special occasions like this one.

George and Charlotte aren't on the same ranking as the Spanish princesses. Leonor is the contemporary of Charles as heir to the throne and Charles is certainly out in public waving and smiling on occasions.

George and Charlotte are still very small and I can't remember the Infantas being constantly paraded around at four and two. George is also not second in line to the throne but third. Leonor is direct heir, that's the difference.

^^  Totally agree Marion.  The Spanish rf release lovely natural photos of their two gorgeous girls severeal times a year  -  unlike what the sprogs the vile duo landed the UK with.  They obviously have a very close bond with their girls, very proud of them, and so tey should be.  We always get the summer holiday photos as well, and the odd photo here and there.  And look what we got  -  the booby prize big time.  I would swap KF, QL and the two girls for the terrible trio + council cath any day of the week, no contest.

You'd have a hard job persuading the Spanish people to agree to that!!
