My sister got Netflix on a trial basis and loves the series... so far.

Her only regret is that she did not wait until the whole series was finished so she could only watch the first 6 episodes when the trial finished.

ME? I'm waiting until after my holidays and the first series is available to watch before trying Netflix. Can't wait.

JFK the junkie: The Crown's unflattering portrayal of the 35th president as a jealous, controlling husband with a drug problem

Micheal C. Hall's JFK appears to be ever the charming leader in the second season of The Crown
But underneath the facade, was a jealous, controlling husband and a high functioning drug addict
Medical records show JFK was on a cocktail of drugs during his presidency
Hall notes that the award-winning series took 'some risks in terms of how and what it was depicting' of JFK
But he said that the prospect of playing the beloved US president as an abusive drug addict never fazed him
'Not given what I know to have been true about him,' said the actor

^ As a history buff I know The Crown is at least 60% fiction draped over a framework of verifiable historical facts. The worry is though that on Twitter and in forums etc people discuss episodes as if some incidents and conversations are the truth. It's the same with historical films. Audiences are sometimes left with very different impressions of people and events to what really occurred. The makers of this series have never made a secret of the fact that their series isn't a doco. However, with something so beautifully made as this it looks and sounds authentic, therefore in some viewers minds it must be so.

I was appalled at the episode involving JFK and Jackie. She flirted outrageously with Prince Philip according to the episode and talked badly about the Queen, behind her back. Then JFK and Jackie were depicted as drug addicted plus he was physically abusive with Jackie, in that episode. JFK was afflicted with Addison's disease and he had a bad back and was taking medication for this. This is not mentioned in the episode.

I dare to say that I believe that episode about Charles life when he was at Gordeston... I believe that Phillip could be harsh with his son as it is portrayed in the movie... And a lot of what Charles did in future reveals that he lacked the safety of his home when he was a child... And also remember us how hard can be for a chi being bullied and not meet the expectations of our parents...

As a teacher show me how important it is to help children with this problems.

In life nothing happens by accident. we must remember that there are no good that lasts forever. And evil that never ends. God works in mysterious ways. So I just have to accept what happens because we do not know what we gain by things go this way. Not always what initially seems an award is the. This happens when we fall in love, when we found out a new job when a friend disappears or when someone leaves for ever.
