March 11

@scobie
On March 11 The Queen, Prince Charles, Duchess Camilla, Prince William, Duchess Kate, Prince Harry, Duchess Meghan and Prince Andrew will attend a Commonwealth Service at @wabbey for #CommonwealthDay (with musical performances by @cleanbandit and @AlfieBoe). It’ll air on @BBCOne.

On 11 March 2019, people in Commonwealth countries in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean and Americas, the Pacific and Europe will observe Commonwealth Day.

The day will be marked with a broad range of activities, including faith and civic gatherings, debates, school assemblies, flag raising ceremonies, street parties and cultural events.

The day will be celebrated with a multicultural, multi-faith service at Westminster Abbey. The service will bring together testimonies, performances and readings from throughout the Commonwealth and will feature a procession of Commonwealth flags with young flag bearers representing all 53 member countries.

There will be a Commonwealth Day Message from HM The Queen and from Secretary-General Patricia Scotland on the values and principles of the Commonwealth Charter, which unite 2.4 billion people in 53 countries.

Queen uses her Commonwealth Day message to praise international co-operation in what is likely to be interpreted as another careful intervention on Brexit
Ahead of Monday's service at Westminster Abbey, the Queen notes 'times of great change' in message
Also says millions of people are 'drawn together' because of shared values of the Commonwealth
In January, she referred to 'coming together to seek out the common ground'
Despite being constitutionally obligated to be above politics, The Queen has made remarks in recent speeches which have hinted at Britain's Brexit debate.
In January, she referred to 'respecting different points of view' and 'coming together to seek out the common ground' in a speech to mark the centenary of the Sandringham Women's Institute.
Meanwhile, in 2016 BBC political editor Laura Kuenssberg said the monarch had apparently made her views clear at a private lunch before the referendum June referendum.
According to Miss Kuenssberg's contact, the Queen told guests at the lunch: 'I don't see why we can't just get out. What's the problem?'
Even her headwear choice at the June 2017 opening of parliament - a blue hat with yellow dots - which drew comparisons with the EU flag was seen as a clue of her Brexit views.
In February, the Duke of Cambridge Prince William also made remarks on 'working for the common that were seen as a coded Brexit plea.
As well as coming shortly before Britain's departure from the European Union, this year's Commonwealth Day has another special significance as 2019 marks the 70th anniversary of the modern Commonwealth.
The institution is a global network of 53 countries and almost 2.4 billion people.
The theme for this year's service is 'A Connected Commonwealth' which highlights the co-operation between the culturally diverse family of nations who work together in friendship.

What on earth is Meghan wearing? The tacky chain dress reminds me of Jacob Marley, and the hat makes her look like a nurse.  https://i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2019/03/11/18/10848472-6795345-image-m-132_1552329363012.jpg

It's a Victoria Beckham dress, and it appeared on Megs Mirror quite quickly:

^^ easter-lol Exactly. The modern Marie Antoinette motto  laugh
Smart of K to rewear an older outfit today, nice contrast to spendthrift Markle.
M didn't wear her engagement ring at either event and K seems to have a new pair of earrings.

^^Very scary, Cali.  It’s the 3rd one in and Harry suddenly looks down as if smiling is a crime.

That green thing she’s got on looks like an old carpet bag easter-lol

The white is bad enough, but all up the entire foursome look fake nice to each other.

HM looks lovely and Camilla looks nice too.

^ Absolutely no wrinkles in her face, and she can hardly move her facial muscles.  I didn't think pregnant women could have that kind of stuff done?   huh

I thought so too but don't really think that's it, the wedding ring still fits and the e-ring looks like it flops around (since engagement to this day) being too big.
Maybe she didn't feel like it, mustn't mean much, just a detail I spotted. dontknow

Face Tape.  Actresses use it. She uses it on her jawline.
