This veil was handmade for Princess Stephanie of Belgium for her wedding to Crown Prince Rudolph of Austria in 1881.

When Princess Beatrice of the United Kingdom got married on July 23, 1885, she wore her mother (Queen Victoria)'s wedding veil of Honiton veil.

At her wedding in 1930 Princess Giovanna of Italy wore a magnificent veil of of ivory tinted Venetian lace, a gift from Queen Elena.

On Grand Duchess Cecilie of Hesse's plane in 1931 was the wedding veil worn by Princess Alice at her wedding in 1862. Was Alice's veil able to be found in the plane crash?
