O'Reilly and Obama pre-game interview should be worth a look-see.

AWESOME game!  So glad the Lombardi trophy is back in Green Bay.  Anyway, the rest of it was awful:

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/02/07/sports/football/07aguilera-super-bowl-pregame.html

Imagine getting the wrong words to the Star Spangled Banner in front of a military troupe of colors, a former President of the US, and a Congressional Medal of Honor recipient.  Plus, the rest of us!  (Her shoes were amazing, tho).

And the halftime show - lame.

Maybe, with any luck, we'll have the Marine Corps or some military band play the National Anthem and we call ALL sing along in the future.

Can you imagine a time when the truth ran free ...

Ugh! Fergie was awful and I wasn't impressed with Usher either! I did like the luminous clothing that changed colors though. ...

And Christina Aguilera most certainly made the Star Spangled Banner her own, but she didn't own it!  thumbsdown

What does XLV mean? It always says Super Bowl XLV royalguard

It was the first time I watched football last night blink and it was rather stupid hide

they position 2 minutes at the line....then after a few seconds the running is over....it takes them again 3 minutes to set up their position...then 20 seconds till the running is over... again a few minutes with the set up and strategy... wellduh

Please don't be mad at me but I found it rather boring TCP baking cookies  I like European fooball (soccer) more. There you have 90 minutes of running and a real game flow with only a 15 minutes break. Much more action Cool

Te internet went ballistic when Christina Aguilera butched the US national anthem... hide

XLV it's the number of the Super Bowl annual edition, in roman numerals. It's not the same, last year it was "XLIV" (44), this year it was "XLV" (45) and next year it will be "XLVI" (46).

^^That's ok, TCP.  I feel the same way about soccer.  Or curling, for that matter.

When you grow up going to high school football games and/or glom onto 'your team', it's huge.  The Super Bowl is a phenomenon and a major source of revenue.

Anyone who butchers our national anthem would and should feel ashamed, but it's not the first time some dope has done it.  I'm more furious with her for not taking responsibility for the gaffe, but instead said, "I was so moved by singing it, I got confused."  No sale, Aguilera.
