Duchess Kate debuted a new pair of $3500 blue topaz earrings in Luxembourg
http://www.celebitchy.com/535119/duchess_kate_debuted_a_new_pair_of_3500_blue_topaz_earrings_in_luxembourg/

She really can't contain the malevolence can she anymore?

They must've been set in platinum because blue topaz is the Macy's of jewelry.

Case in point:  http://m.macys.com/shop/b/blue-topaz-earrings?id=85246

This should really be in the Kate's Jewelry Box thread.  I'll move it later, Alex, when I'm on my laptop and not working.

Says in the Celebitchy article the rf had to bribe her with them to go to Luxembourg. Seems as if she is out to grab all she can whilst she can.  Also says that coat is bespoke, but it is very poor made, especially the crease at the front beneath lapel and above belt.  If that is bespoke tailoring then she needs to go elsewhere, it is visible in every photo.

I love Blue Topaz - it's a lovely stone.

^ and ^^ Oh, I think it's a lovely stone as well so I put that badly and meant no offense on the gem itself.  However, in no way is it justified to spend 3200 pounds on it.  Unless it's in a magnificent necklace or bracelet.  Or, as stated, foolishly set in platinum.  That's all I meant.  But, I do prefer aquamarine over a topaz.  Just a personal fave.

Regardless, the woman doesn't wear anything, including jewelry, within any true regal presence.  I haven't seen it yet anyway.  The coat dress, however bespoke it may have been, was still not quite right.  Maybe it's her posture?  The acres of hair?  The face?  The phoniness?  The wearying beige pumps?  So many choices, so little chance of it improving.

^ cripes! I hadn't realised PC spent so.much $$ !!! Just wow. For that Ican buy a very small diamond bracelet or ring and watch... idiots... I find the aquamarine nice but the shade of blue is much too light for me whereas topaz comes in many different shades to choose from so I prefer it. Set in silver is best I don't find gold matchrs well....

Duchess Kate in yellow Chloe at Buckingham Palace: tedious or lovely?

She doesn't suit soft, girly clothes at all. Never mind the fact that this dress looks like something a granny would wear.

I am truly amazed at how she always manages to get what she wants and get her way. She sold her soul well and she sells herself expertly.

^That is because her hideous mother is driving the bus. Without her, she wouldn't be able to get a damn thing.

She isn't a fashionista and she's a creation of the media; the minute someone more fashionable comes along I am certain that she will end up yesterday's news; if/when Meg marries Harry I am sure that she'll be struggling to handle someone who will be fresh on the scene and she'll no longer be important.

^ She could have been but she threw that away at the engagement interview, "I don't care what anyone thinks".  Here we are 6 years later and, nada, zilch, zip, nothing. Just gurning, snort-laughing, crotch pressing, and hair twiddling. Any attempts to make her look useful at this point just make her look more stupid because that facade she wears has many cracks (pun intended and it stays). She had plenty of time to sit on her bony arse and given this a long mulling over.
But then, mulling over things is work and takes effort and we all know Duchess Numpty No Knickers has a strong aversion to that.

Look at the gap between them, and the body language, man, it is positive arctic. Both look as miserable as sin.

Rebecca Deacon, Kate's soon-to-step down private secretary.  This is the woman who would have had the most access (aside from her wardrobe lady who is a complete failure) to tell Kate that something may be amiss with how she looks in public and photographed.  Can we see her underwear underneath that skirt?   Anyway, it's a stinker.
