I remeber wearing one in 1981/2. Possibly 1983. That's when they hit the High Street, so maybe she wore them in 1981, the year of her marriage.

^ But she was very young, if you are an early 20s you look good with peter pan collar; a 35 year old woman looking 10 years older looks ridiculous with these collars

^ Hmm, not sure about that. Think she has had fillers in the face again, and she has this thing about a silly little belt way above the waistline, has it on quite a few of her clothes, seems to favour it for some unknown reason.  As ever, time will tell. Always interesting to wait and watch.

^^ They're getting not so rosy press right now, so it must be baby time again.  She'll need another excuse to not work once Philip is retired in the fall.

She's already said she is stepping back from work because she will be taking and picking up The Bleached Blonde Prince to school.

I personally find her outfit quite "meh" again, underwhelming as usual. The coat itself is really nice and classy IMO but she doesn' t accessorize anything she wears: the nude pumps again, nude clutch again, no scarves, no colours, no big jewellery, only big wigs.
I wager Charlene would have looked fabulous with that coat

I honestly think that the press needs to stop living in the 90's and needs to stop looking for 'it' to happen via Kate. It's not going to happen and Kate is not going to happen. She's not and never will be a trendsetter and she will never be able to truly make a major mark. Being William's wife isn't going to make her anything other than a tabloid darling in the trashy niche that others already occupy.

That style of coat really emphasises her sharp as razor shoulder and backbones too.  Not an ounce of flesh on them either.

^Doesn´t it just.  We know she does not have a clue re fashion, or what suits her, she needs to get rid of the tart team who advise her. As for the coat dresses, they are so boring, she must have a whole store room full of them by now.  Luxembourg were so unimpressed with her.  Just hear from a friend of mine who is on hols there at the moment, apparently no excitement about the visit, public press ganged into making it look as if they were waiting to see her.   Nobody impressed, at all.  Luxembourg awash with gossip as to why the h*ll she was there anyway, total waste of space, boring person, who appeared, surprise surprise, eager to get away.  Always interesting when you get these snippets from people on the ground.

The coat dresses always make her look as if she can't wait to get out of wherever she's visiting and isn't there to stay. Which is true.

That coat dress was horrendous, not because it looks terrible as such, but because Waity looked once again the same as always, the coatdress has the exact same cut as one of the green ones she wore for St Pat's Day, and generally follows the samey cut as many of her other clothes. If she wanted sth powder blue she could have chosen literally amongst a dozen other coatdresses she already has. Always diasppointing to see her.
And then she debuted new overpriced Kiki earrings that cost a fortune and looked like cheap paste jewellery on her.
At least she still lays off the eyeliner a bit and has her wigs blow dried in a different way.
The article has been pulled pretty fast from the front page of her visit to Lux....
