Absolutely crazy! And unfortunately, this is only the beginning of the breakdown in their societal structure. thankyou Yooper! Egypt is moving down to the bottom of my list of place to visit, for the time being anyway! And I've totally been wanting to get there for a long time! runforhills

Yeah, I wouldn't hop on a plane to Cairo these days.  It's exploding, according to the news here.  Absolutely exploding.  I'm glad AC and his crew, and Katie Couric, are ok.  AC has stated flatly that he has no intention of leaving.  (Finger's crossed).

Things aren't all that pretty in Jordan, either.

What happened in Tunisia caused a domino effect in arab countries. Egypt exploded, things are getting ugly in Jordan and Yemen...

I've been in Egypt a few years ago and it was unforgettable! Hope you've the chance to go there when things calm down EA, it's indeed an amazing country and the pyramids/Karnak are unbelieveble! Jaw dropping...
