I agree. She is dressed more appropriately than WK was at the 9/11 Memorial.

(But she does need to get measured properly for a new bra).

I am so thankful that Sophie didn't turn up at the 9/11 memorial with cleavage or otherwise trying to be all Granny Sexy.   The dress there was surprisingly boring but appropriate and her red dress when she gave her speech was nice.

Wasn't sure if this should go in the Christmas 2015/6 or here, but since it is more historic I'm putting it here.  Sophie's father was said to start joining the royal family at Sandringham the year after his wife died. Here he is going to church (Christmas) with the royals at Sandringham in 2006. I do not know how many other years he has attended. It may be he's in the background and doesn't stroll with the family anymore.

^ If thats true, then all the in-laws should be invited, queen has many houses on the estate. They are going to church and it should be open to anyone who wants to attend ... Most people wants to see their grandchildren on Christmas and spend time with then ..

I am not sure that Mr. Rhys-Jones is present all years. He was invited for the first 1-2 Christmasses after his wife died. IIRC this was also because his son Theo was abroad for his work and he would have been alone. So the Queen invited him.
Most other parents-in-law have more family and won't be alone for Christmas; the Middletons still have Pippa and James around, Autumn has a brother and sister and her parents are in Canada anyway.
So it seems the Rhys-Jones situation was quite extraordinary.
