It certainly doesn't blow in the natural way real hair does.   The extensions blow up in unsightly clumps.

What in the world?! When it just looked like a two-inch long white mark they could pass it off as a scar, but not what's showing in those pics. It looks like a headband under her top layer of hair. Often, extensions are placed below the crown, but she may have them sewn in all over her scalp to make the top, front and crown area look as thick as the rest. You know, to make it look more "natural". laugh

It does look like she is wearing wefts and constant use has caused tension/traction alopecia. A number of celebrities and models suffer from this. It's down to the demands to look good all the time. Kate is not a model though and needs to really give some thought to what her role is really about.

^ ITA, she's not supposed to be in this to be a beauty queen, and it would be a shame for her if she lost her natural hair. It's not like she had thin hair before the extensions. They are completely unnecessary and one of the greatest signs she is confused about what her role is. (I realize some other royals around the world look like they have extensions too, but they appear to be fulfilling the non-beauty-related aspects of their roles very well). She's gotten herself into a mess now though, because her extra thick fake hair is what she's most praised for. If she went back to her natural hair now, it would be very noticeable, and would be like her admitting she faked the hair the "scar" story refuted this entire time. She clearly likes the ultra thick look, but one of these days she may find herself needing full wigs to keep up with that image.

If she had some cut off and perhaps some highlights, her hair would still look fairly thick and more current. If she continues with extensions and clips etc. she is on a slippery slop. It's not too late to stop the tension alopecia.

^Yup.  It's way past the time to cut that mop to save what's left but still do-able, if she had any sense of priorities.  A short bob would not only do wonders for her image but help the hair immensely.  But, I don't know how much tugging and tearing she's already done.  It's rather indicative as to what matters most to her, isn't it, and what she's receiving in return.  The clock is definitely ticking on the whole phony show, tho.

Her hair is a mystery to me. It looked really thin before the sausage curls and now it looks fuller than ever. Sometimes it appears to be naturally thick, like will mentioned at an engagement, but thin and flat from the front. I'm not sure if it's extensions or the real thing. I'd *despise* for it to falling out since it's obvious how much harsher she is being judged for her physical appearance. Cutting it short will make her want to wear extensions.

I have had chemotherapy for cancer (thankfully in remission). So know what it is like to lose hair. Even though it was not my fault. And I knew it would soon grow back in. (It wasn't losing my hair that upset me, but my eyelashes as I could not use mascara. Eyebrows can be drawn in).

But a solution for WK could be to cut her hair, reducing the need for these @@@@ hair extensions, and the sugars would be all over her like a rash saying how wonderful she looks with this new haircut.  blink

But I do think she hides behind her hair, and her eyeliner, and will not change.

Just my two cents' worth.

^So glad to hear you're in remission and may it continue!

I also agree with you that Kate hides behind that mane of hair for who knows what reason.  From her hair to her eyeliner and defensive poses she's put up a wall between herself and the world at large.  It's really creepy, to me.

It definitely looks woven into her hair rather than underneath it. And her natural hair just isn't thick enough to create that kind of ponytail without extensions/a wig.

I could be completely off my rocker, but I suspect that ridiculous long hair is a remnant of their dating days.  A useful tool that Bill could enjoy pulling on like a set of reins, never realizing that once he coughed up the ring of doom he would be the one going into the stable.

Also, if that nonsense is blowing all over the place then perhaps when people are trying to have a lucent conversation with her she can conveniently use that mop as an excuse for not being able to reply coherently.

She seriously needs to give up the "I'm a royal Cheryl Cole" skit and get on with being a royal.  bignono bignono bignono
