^I think that's a fabulous idea!  He's putting his wildlife concerns to work in an amazingly practical, useful and helpful manner.  If he keeps following his own instincts, which I think I see here, he will not only find the right path but will grow exponentially.  It's the magic ingredient I've seen time and again that makes satisfied 'grown ups'.*Applause*

sounds like a fun vacation imo but he has done some good over the last few months - so he deserves some downtime in his favorite Africa. hope he won't get into trouble while he is there

Yes, he's 30 and too old for that stuff anymore. Drink like an adult (a few beers/glasses of wine), not like a teenager (getting drunk and naked with strangers).

I'm hoping he has learned his lesson. Harry has so much more to give and offer than his whiney bother.

I think that's why I was so annoyed with Harry last time. Especially after standing up for him when some people bashed him. He does charity work, has a lot of charisma, relates to people, kids like him, etc. He will be the son of a king, so he will still be around when the BRF is downsized when Charles takes over. (Plus, Charles only has two kids instead of HM's four, so it's going to get smaller anyway.) I agree he has a lot to offer. He seems a lot more friendly and comfortable around people than his brother. I think William should learn from him, but I get the feeling he doesn't like him that much. He is constantly saying negative things about him and making fun of him. Also, poor George, he doesn't have anything nice to say about him, either, but that is for another thread.

Touch down Prince Harry. He flew in with Air Namibia (Economy Class I'll have you know) last night.

All correspondence regarding Prince Harry's activities in Namibia will come from @KensingtonRoyal.

I noticed that too. And I'm guessing he wasn't in Africa to see Harry.  Cool

He did look a little too 'healthy,' especailly standing beside Kate who was not tanned (wow! so unusual) and wearing white.

This is just such a vile trade and it's terribly sad that there will never be enough funding to combat it. All this rubbish about wonder cures peddled by the purveyors of traditional medicine in some Asian countries must be countered by the governments concerned. I am so glad for people in Africa are fighting this. I hope Harry is learning all he can from them.

Slightly off topic, but I think this little quote is so telling:

Quote
“My father never really gets listened to, which is disappointing because whatever he says normally is right, and about 10 years ahead of when the problems actually happen,“ said Harry.

The trip is part of a three-month grand tour which also sees him travel to South Africa, Tanzania and Botswana.
But while some might expect the Namibian government to be flattered by Harry’s attempts to help save its wildlife, the country’s Minister of Environment and Tourism, Pohamba Shifeta, has warned against the royal trip turning into a publicity stunt.
