The hilarity & irony is, they were on the way to acceptance. Camilla built a pretty good image and whilst most were still against her (being queen), people started to mellow. Then they blew it with the Junor bs in the past months. The pitchforks came out again and ratings plummeted back down, for both: C&C.

Ultimately, acceptance for (queen) Camilla is impossible to attain. But they were on a good path and then srewed themselves over.
I think at some point a public apology would have been good, but it's way too late now and at no point would anyone have believed it. Her only way would have been to grovel to Diana through the papers; impossible even had Diana not died, unless some miracle happened and they made peace. Diana is essential in public acceptance for Camilla, esp if an apology were to be involved, but alas, the Windsors royally screwed themselves over too. They did the Junor bs and boom, Diana put them back down in popularity.
She can't disappear, that would have worked had they not married. Alas, Charles had to "make and honest woman" out of Camz (*snorts with laughter*), so taxpayers will never allow for Camz to just trot off and live it up in the countryside.

Basically, it's impossible to attain. Again, I can't get over that they were on a good way to some acceptance and then shot themselves spectacularly in the foot! How dumb can someone be? The Windsors, all of them, born and married in, show time and time again that they have not been blessed with brain, at all!

^ Smith was at least honest and it was her only way to keep credibility as writer; Junor has none, because she basically writes fan-fiction sold (disguised!) as "biography".

Junor wrote that Camilla discouraged women from flirting with Charles. Yet Charles is very visibly attracted to Myleen. Charles looks red in the face. Her evening wear appears to be like a house coat.

Myleen's not the only one. There was a very strange photo taken during the Spanish State visit of the four, Felipe, Cam, Charles and Leti standing together and Charles pushing his face very very near to Letizia's. Felipe, Camilla and Leti looked bemused. Or maybe he was just trying to be funny. Willy has inherited his talent for weak jokes from Dad.

I don't know who their PR is but this dancing together trying to play a "lovable" old couple. The comments are scathing. And Palace staff keep commenting about this is the "happiest" they saw Charles. He looks like an old fool and she's playing to those cameras. IMO

Prince of Wales claims Somalian pirates have been 'fantastic' for marine life because fishermen are too scared to go to sea

Charles, 68, said there had been an 'explosion' in bigger fish in recent years
He met veterinarians from Nature Trust Malta on Golden Bay beach
Carried turtle to the shore and placed on sand near the water's edge
Earlier delivered keynote address at the global Our Ocean summit
Spoke about the growing threat to oceans from plastic waste

Charles leers at Noor in one of the DM photos. He did the same thing with Letizia. Trouble on the home front?

This is quite typical of Charles. I agree that marine life, including turtles deserve protection, but to praise Somalian pirates who endanger international shipping lanes and stop poor fisherman from making a living, is just skewed thinking as far as I'm concerned.

^^What an ignorant, heartless toad of a man he is.  The whole bunch, really.  I'm really starting to question why these people are allowed to exist in the current form.

He is such a hypocrite. I also think he's patronizing with Queen Noor, making that "come on" expression. And perhaps sexist as well.

Prince Charles claimed fox hunting was “romantic” as he tried to persuade Tony Blair not to ban the cruel bloodsport

The royal lobbied the then Prime Minister not to outlaw the countryside pastime in a 2002 letter

Prince Charles claimed fox hunting was “romantic” as he tried to persuade Tony Blair not to ban the cruel bloodsport.

The royal lobbied the then Prime Minister not to outlaw the countryside pastime in a 2002 letter.

But the Hunting Act 2004 became law in February 2005 and chasing wild mammals, including foxes, with hounds has bene illegal ever since.

Released to the Mail on Sunday under freedom of information rules, Charles’ letter said: “There is ... complete bewilderment that the Government is apparently responding to calls to ban something which is genuinely environmentally friendly, which uses no modern technology, which does not pollute the countryside, which is completely natural - in that it relies entirely on man’s ancient and, indeed, romantic relationship with dogs and horses.”

He also suggested the fight waged by animal rights activists to ban hunting was motivated by class war.

Charles is a hypocrite. Railing about the environment and calling tearing apart of a fox by dogs "romantic". Just so he can dress up in riding clothes.

I think the Diana's remembrances by William and Harry + the Diana docs, particularly the Settelen tapes shown in UK played a big part... and again... ruined the Charles and Camilla PR
