It's about Charles, so I hope it fits here:

Royal courtiers feared Prince Charles would be lynched by angry members of the public at Diana’s funeral unless his sons accompanied him as he walked behind her coffin, it emerged last night.

The claim by former Labour spin chief Alastair Campbell suggests the poignant image of the two young princes walking in the funeral cortege was manufactured in part to protect their father, who was facing a tidal wave of public anger over his treatment of Diana.

In comments that are likely to prove hurtful to William, Mr Campbell says Diana’s elder son was initially reluctant to take up the high-profile role because he believed it was being done to appease the media.

I've also read that William didn't want to, and only when his grandfather asked did he agree to walk. This article claims it was an aide, but who knows? Either way, I thought it was interesting how concerned they were over it.

Sorry if this sound rude but why are they bringing that up now?
The woman died almost 15 years ago, just let it rest already!
It's in the past, she died, it was sad, get over it already!
What is the bloody point of digging this up now so many years later?

Not to try and drag my poor dead husband into the equation again, but this is in the most possible worst taste, and I speak from experience because I continue to deal with everybody's nose in my business and endless 'input' on how things were handled or mishandled and always by those who contributed NOTHING to help. Yes, people are that insensitive and downright cruel.  It serves no purpose and only causes needless pain.  It's shameful, really, and makes no difference to anyone outside of the family, who, if there are still uhealed wounds (and it's possible), only makes things worse.  Slimeball indeed.
