I agree. Diana would have been cast out. Along with Harry who no way would be in line of succession. The royals would have gotten custody of William and she would have possibly married Hewitt (who probably still would have turned out to be a loser).  I can't believe the people who claim Harry is Hewitt's would think Charles is so "nice" he would have allowed another man's kid in line of succession. He did not even want Andrew to be the next monarch and he wanted his own heirs to succeed.

Do you think it was wise for Princess Diana to buy clothes for James Hewitt? Did Diana say she had dressed James from head to toe?

She reportedly did this with her boyfriends. She tried to encourage Khan to lose weight and eat better. And she cleaned his apartment. I don't recall if she gave him presents though she probably did.

I thought that Diana had bought Hewitt a car or at least gave him a reasonable amount of money for one (I just can't recall where I read it. I'll try to find it). I agree she probably showered them with gifts and also clothes.

I know Diana bought JH many gifts, she was very generous, said in the Panorama interview she had 'clothed Hewitt head to foot.'  I've got memories of reading ages ago that someone, was it Burrell or her private secretary, saw Diana with a large bundle of bank notes in her study at KP and when he expressed surprise (because she usually dealt in cheques) she explained that Hewitt needed a car.
