A have a special clause in the contract, or
B NBC doesn't mind a potential lawsuit or
C the vic has very convincing/damning evidence...interesting  sly

^The contract clause is most likely.  You cannot fire anybody in the US based on accusations.  You can be suspended until legal conviction only.  But, an indecency clause is a cya in many cases.  Plus, if the person admits it (foolish to do), that would allow them to fire without paying retirement or other benefits.

Still, it’s dangerous in a democracy to completely ignore a person’s constitutional rights.  Then it becomes open season and witch hunts follow.

(Dang, I may have to turn evil auto correct back on)

^^I'm going to go with A & C. It's being said that the victim had text messages or some other solid proof. It had to be something damning for them to fire him in the middle of the night.

Time's 2017 Person of the Year is the "Silence Breakers." Trump is runner-up.

Time has chosen its 2017 Person of the Year: the Silence Breakers, the women and men who have come forward to shed light on sexual harassment and abuse in America.

The magazine’s editor-in-chief, Edward Felsenthal, made the announcement on NBC’s Today show on Wednesday, citing "the galvanizing actions of the women on our cover.” Those women featured on the cover include actress Ashley Judd, singer Taylor Swift, former Uber engineer Susan Fowler, Visa lobbyist Adama Iwu, Mexican agricultural worker Isabel Pascual, and one woman whose face cannot be seen.

In a statement, Felsenthal also honored the courage of “hundreds of others, and of many men as well, [who] have unleashed one of the highest-velocity shifts in our culture since the 1960s."

Corey Feldman WAS telling the truth: Santa Barbara police say they've found historic audio of him naming abusers which he claims they then covered up

Just weeks after denying the existence of a record of claims Corey Feldman made in 1993, Santa Barbara Sheriff's Office says it has located the exact records
Feldman said in October that more than two decades ago, he specifically identified to police a list of people involved in an alleged alleged pedophile ring
The Sheriff's Office fully denied the claim stating, 'Our records do not indicate that he named any suspects'
The police now claim they do in fact have audio recordings of Feldman's 1993 interview, which was conducted during its investigation of Michael Jackson
Last month Feldman revealed the identities of two of his alleged child molesters - convicted sex offender Marty Weiss and his former assistant Jon Grissom

Salma Hayek reveals Harvey Weinstein endlessly stalked and propositioned her before forcing her to do a nude lesbian sex scene after she refused his advances - and once threatened to have her KILLED

After close to a decade of refusing his demands for showers, naked massages, oral sex and threesomes, Hayek claims Weinstein refused to let her star in Frida
Weinstein even once appeared at the door of Hayek's hotel while she was working on a film for a rival studio
When she managed to pull the film together on her own Weinstein demanded she do a nude sex scene to get the film released
Hayek said she was nauseous and suffered a nervous breakdown realizing she would finally be getting naked for Weinstein after years of his demands
In the end, Hayek was nominated for an Oscar and the film scored six nods total, winning two Academy Awards

'I burst out crying': 'Heartbroken' Mira Sorvino and Ashley Judd respond to Peter Jackson's confirmation that Harvey Weinstein blacklisted them and stopped both from starring in Lord of the Rings because they rejected him

Mira Sorvino tweeted in response to Jackson's admission earlier this week
The actress previously claimed she was harassed by Weinstein in 1995
In an interview in The New Yorker in October, she said he ruined her career because she rebuffed him
Judd, in an interview with The New York Times, made similar accusations
She claimed she was accosted by Weinstein in 1997 and then blacklisted because she rejected him
Jackson wanted both women to be considered for Lord of the Rings in 1998
He said Weinstein vetoed them both and told him they were difficult to work with
Jackson took his advice but said this week that he believes he had been misled
The New Zealand director said Weinstein, 65, behaved like a 'Mafia boss' during the early stages of the production

I'd say this explains many a career death. And for men too. Should also at some point become public knowledge that men are abused in these industries just like women. Perhaps not quite as much and not in always the same ways, but men are victims too in these horrible "careers". And how many careers also went nowhere because some people are actors (singers and models) because they love it and refuse the circus, refuse to call the paps on themselves, to exchange jobs for sexual "favours" etc? Horrible careers, modelling, singing, acting....

You too, Franco? Star is accused of removing actresses' genital guards during nude oral sex scene and forcing his ex to perform a sex act - as FIVE women claim he sexually harassed them

Five women are accusing James Franco of sexual misconduct in the Los Angeles Times, including four women who took acting classes with the Oscar nominee
Sarah Tither-Kaplan claims a topless video of her made for Franco's class at Studio 4 was uploaded without her prior knowledge or consent
She is also claiming that Franco removed the plastic genital guards that several actresses were wearing for a nude orgy scene in his film The Long Home
Violet Paley, 23, claims she had a romantic relationship with Franco in 2016, during which time the actor forced her to perform oral sex on him in his car
Hilary Dusome and Natalie Chmiel said Franco stormed off the set of a video he was shooting at a strip club when they would not remove their tops
Franco denied all these claims through his lawyer, and on Monday called the claims 'not accurate'

I just cannot believe the stupid media, acting all shocked about the allegations on Franco, when it's well known he goes after teenagers, which was a big story in this very same media a couple of years ago.
The sickening idiotic pin at the Golden Globes and dressing all in black means shyte all. Predators like Franco attended (and won) and they held sanctimonious speeches (Oprah, Streep) continuing to pretend like they didn't hear, see or know anything. And those who dared to not dress in all black were raked over hot coals. What a disgusting bunch of brown-nosing know-it-all preachers.

Harvey Weinstein 'stole office Oscars and doubled the salary of exec who provided proof his brother Bob was behind downfall in paranoid final days - but failed to delete his "HW Friends" list of 63 mystery women'

A new report in Vanity Fair details the days before Harvey Weinstein was exposed as a serial sexual predator by The New York Times
Weinstein spent the week before the Times story was released in a paranoid rage,  and was determined to learn who had leaked damning stories to the press
He also deleted and destroyed files, but failed to completely erase a list of 63 women sorted by cities that is saved as 'HW Friends'
Weinstein reportedly promised HR head Frank Gil a pay bump to speak with Lisa Bloom when he revealed he had proof that Bob Weinstein spoke to the press
Gil was later suspended by the company and Bloom failed to get Weinstein the proof as he flew off to LA

^I'd be curious who's on that list ...

On a side note, I can't wait to read what Kim K baby #3's name is. Also, I admire her for being honest about using surrogates and even thanking the surrogate for the gift of caring her and Kanye's babies.

'I want my pin back': Scarlett Johansson calls out James Franco during her Women's March speech after Golden Globe winner was accused of sexual misconduct by five different women

Scarlett Johansson gave a speech on Saturday at the 2018 Women's March in LA
She called out James Franco for wearing a Time's Up pin at the Golden Globes
Five women accused Franco of sexual misconduct after he wore the pin on stage
Franco has since denied the allegations, and says he still supports the cause

Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5293653/Scarlett-Johansson-calls-James-Franco-Womens-March.html

Oh please, everyone with one single brain cell knew the pin and "Time's Up campaign" are useless. We all know that H'weird is still chock full with predators and that nothing's happened and won't happen, that would require actual action and change (eg denounce and fire and never hire these people again. Not happening, see Woody Allen and James Franco, Franco's poaching of a minor or was it teen was well publicized a couple of years ago and nothing happened. Come on!).

And any woman who dared not to be dressed in black at the G Globes, likely because she had brains and knew this meant shyte all, was heavily citicized. I bet many women wore black just to avoid heavy backlash, knowing full well what a joke Hollywood and its campaigns are.

^ It's "Chicago", nickname's "Chi". Yeah, good on them for being honest about the surrogate, as opposed to many others (just the other day there was an article on Beyonce and how she orchestrates literally everything, I guess that was also a dig at her pregnancies and the surrogacy claims - the pregnancies were certainly covered and the circus B made of them in that article). But Kim lied so much about her previous pregnancy/ies, it was a joke. A set-up to use a surrogate in the future and minimize backlash. I mean eg the claim that she had placenta residue and only weeks or months later was it found out and the doc "scraped it out with his fingernails", whoever believes this wad of bs is really intelectually challenged. Placenta residue causes life threatening complications within the hour/s of giving birth and special equipment is needed to get it out, not weeks or months and certainly not the doc's dirty fingernails as tool! If Kim's claims at the time were true, she'd be literally dead. I get that celebs lie, but lying this much is beyond belief, and the dimwitted still follow and admire these people! smh.
Don't understand why these people have to burden their kids with ridiculous names either.

I'd love to know who was on H Weinstein's list too. But we can all guess and I think we'd get a good deal of names right...
