The CC is all over the place anyway and inaccurate. Seems to record at times randomly. Some invictus stuff used to appear, other things not. When even just with invictus, some things that took place behind the scenes were recorded whilst some public engagements for inv were not recorded, and some things appear days later on the CC. I have read that some inv engagements for this year were recorded and suddenly disappeared recently.  dontknow eating cookies spy

If the PM of Canada and FLOTUS are there, it’s official duties not some personal party.

^ I fully agree. But we all know that the CC is handled weirdly and the difference between "private" and "public" engagement is fuzzy. Imo this is as public as any engagement, even though he isn't representing Liz and not on her behalf there. His personal life shouldn't have overshadowed it and been used as stepping/ introductory stone for anything, it's his work and not some office party where you can bring your S.O. The closing ceremony would have been better, but oh well, we can't accuse any of the Winds to be either intelligent or altruistic.

I'd love to see if the Canadian papers inset her in every article like the DM does. Anyway, it's great to finally see the athletes finally get their due.

He's such a worthless leech; on one hand he's set up Invictus as an official charity, but clearly this is supposed to be private fun as well as 'duty.'

He has to do his part and basically he isn't. He should be working (something that is increasingly anathema to him) on promoting the players and he should be doing more of a good job.

Feeling broody? Prince Harry pulls faces and plays with adorable two-year-old daughter of Paralympian in the crowds at the Invictus Games - after leaving girlfriend Meghan Markle at home again

 thumbsup
The medal ceremony was very cool as well as seeing the comradery between the medal winners. Harry presented the gold medals and took pictures with the players and their families and volunteers. Sarah, who was on the US team thanked Harry for having the vision of the games and saying that he doesn't realize how many lives he's saved because of the games in her interview after the medal ceremony. I don't think the games will go past 2020 but the system behind it should still continue; using sports and teamship to help them overcome their injuries.

Old friends! Prince Harry gives a very warm welcome to Barack Obama as the former president jokes and laughs with his royal pal after joining him at the Invictus Games

https://www.google.com/amp/www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-4934812/amp/Barack-Obama-joins-Prince-Harry-Invictus-Games.html

Former Vice President Joe Biden and his wife Jill were also there. Really nice to see continued support.

Ever the fan: Prince Harry vows to continue the Invictus Games as he attends the last day of competition (but without Meghan Markle at his side)

This is great news because I can't see these games or the support system behind them ending in 2020.
I believe that Michelle Obama  will be Harry's date at tonight's closing ceremony since she was announced as well as her husband by Kensington Palace that they'll be attending the games.

I've been thoroughly enjoying the coverage of the Invictus Games, I have to say, and it's great that these have been covered so well by various news sources including the Fail, which has great photographs, whatever else it may lack. Thanks due this week to those who posted on the IG here, and a special thanks to Fly as I think she's done a wonderful job in keeping us up to date with everything.  easter-egg-basket
