Thank you, Akasha.  hug  You're absolutely right, and I do cherish every second I have had and still have with him.  That's all we can do.

at the moment I'm eating a healthy little snack in form of some mixed salad
some carrot, radish, corn, tomato (those little ones) and field salad
all rasped or fine cut, mix it together add a few drops of soysauce and ready is a yummy little midnight snack thumbsup
calorie amount: less then 25 (but who cares about that anyway easter-wink)

Crying, deGuernsey? :(

I'm just trying to keep myself sane.  My grandfather (doesn't do him justice; he raised me) is under hospice care now.  He's deteriorating so rapidly, it's unreal.  I'm not ready for this.

I'm so sorry and it feels so surreal, I know.  One suggestion if it's not too late and I wish I'd done it. Get somebody to get his handprint in clay or what have you.  It has soothed many...later.  My prayers are with you and your grandfather.  Agreed.  Hold his hand and spend every moment telling him howmuch you love him and appreciate him and will miss him terribly.  Hospice is far too close a friend of mine.  Much hope for peace for this awaiting hole in your heart.  Y.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you, Yooper.  Your suggestion is not too late, and I will be sure to do that.  We're told he has no more than a week left, probably just a couple of days.  We're watching him go through the stages of death at this point.  No choice but to be ready for it now, but it feels like there will never be another good day.  I'm sorry if anyone finds that too personal.

^^We are friends here first.  If you can get an image of his hand, I promise you, you will treasure it and it may help.  If there is anything I can do, and I mean this, pm me and I will hook you up with a group that I belong to that work together to find a place of peace with loss.  We fail, we stumble, we shout, we love....

There are no words.  Words are meaningless.  I know that, but trust me, I know and understand inside my everywhere.
