Queen arrives with Princess Beatrice at Ascot hoping her horse remains unbeaten

The 87-year-old monarch stepped out of her car with the biggest smile on her face as she joined her granddaughter Princess Beatrice at the sporting event.

Princess Beatrice, 25, also wrapped up warm in an unusual grey coat, which she wore on top of a pale patterned dress.

The redhead accessorised her look with a black pill box hat and black patent heels as she mingled with other guests.

The pair were, of course, in attendance to watch Estimate, who is unbeaten in three starts at Ascot, and is owned by the Queen

I like Princess Beatrice's coat and hat. I love the jeweled pin or bow, on her hat. She looks very nice.

The Queen looks great.

One's lost it! Queen and Princess Beatrice at Ascot as her horse's unbeaten run comes to an end

Filly Estimate had won three race wins under her belt at Ascot
She was widely expected to win, but trailed in seventh place
The Queen was joined by the Duke of Edinburgh and Princess Beatrice

As the Queen took her seat at Ascot she would have been hoping for a Royal win as her then unbeaten horse Estimate took to the course.

And a Royal win was what Her Majesty got, though not the one she may have expected or wished for, as another horse called Royal Diamond took first place.

Estimate, who had three race wins under his belt at Ascot, was left trailing in a lowly seventh after coming under pressure with half a mile to go.

I'll bet Kate and Carole *despise* seeing Princess Beatrice arriving with the Queen. Kate would love to be riding with the Queen.

^think so. Someone put their foot down regarding PC's idea of not getting the rest of the family involved unless he changed his mind. HM is making an effort to show his granddaughter something and not sure why all of a sudden. Wonder how  Bea really feels about this knowing how the press done like her family and all..

I am sure the RF have got the measure of Wasty and the Middledooms and are making a point of promoting Bea over Wasty.  Unfortunately the idiotic press still put Wasty's 'look at me' activities before the serious work of QE and the other Royals.

Agreed Stephanie.  I would say elegant too.  Love those sleeves and the little hat.
I think Bea is looking very serene.  I always hope HM is showing Bea the ropes in
preparation for a very royal future. thumbsup

She is actually doing good for her very young age.  thumbsup
Good for her. Keep it girl : just keep pushing the work ethics,
and developing a good character ( charity work with full hands on
and a very good heart helps a lot in building good character in
young minds of her age).
What a beautiful sight to see the lights of HM best qualities on her :
decency, moderation, a natural sense of duty only noble characters
seem to have for some reasons.
