IIRC it wasn't Princess Irene but Princess Tatiana Radziwill whose mother was Princess Eugenia of Greece who was a full cousin of King Paul of Greece. The Norwegian press linked Tatiana and Harald together after the two were spotted making one of the infamous royal cruises around the Greek isles. Queen Frederica had organised these cruises and invited many European royals for them, including Harald of Norway.

Tatiana is a good friend (and 2nd degree cousin) of Queen Sofia.

BTW Then Princess Beatrix of The Netherlands came into a bit of hot water after one of these cruises when she said it had been nice 'to be among ones own people'. In egalitarian society this was a shocker. Personally I think she meant that it was nice to socialise with people who understood what it meant to be royal, with the growing press-presence as well as the burden of royal destiny and having your life painted out for you from the moment you are born, which is especially true for the heirs.
