Maybe the DM could claim the New Pope (whoever that may be) is a fan and can't wait for Kate to visit Vatican City. Would not surprise me.

True, and her child was an immaculate conception, so pure is Kate.  Kate-Horror-Queen

Here it is, how she fainted.

(She was taken to the washroom to recover, then the royal car came, she was driven back to wherever.
Privately Charles was pissed, he let her have it when they were out of public view. He wanted her to apologize and she was made to get right back out there the next day I think?

Here is Charles explaining the situation to the packed room, making nice in public, but he had already humiliated her privately, telling her something about not eating or some reason for it being her fault.

(I can't hear the last thing he said clearly??)

I'll put this in the Diana thread so we can discuss it fully there, If we choose to.

LOL really, couldn't she have stayed one day more? When she is eighty and has to go to more official trips what's she's going to do?

So three lazies in the line of succession and Charles wants to streamline the royal family?::

This is such a ripoff ot the UK taxpayer; she is a paid official and yet she is so personally indulgent.

It's not like she isn't pampered all the way there, while being there, and is pampered in the car and allowed to end up being pampered on the way back.

So, really, she only stays for a few days; it's too bad that royals aren't made to stay at least a month, what with all the expense on travel.

I listened several times but I can't make out what he's saying at the end either. He sounds like he's still pissed off.

Neither looks very healthy right now. Chuck seems to be redder all the time and Cam is gaining weight again.

Otherwise, you know what Charles is like. He’ll go and say something like: “That shed where your firing squad is shooting the woman accused of adultery, what an ugly modern structure it is – couldn’t you do it somewhere more classical?”

When I saw them in Norway both looked kind of red, Camilla's may have been bad blusher make up?  huh
But Charles face had a bit of a flushed color for some reason, very rosey,pinkish-red flush, in person?  huh

Maybe he has a very bad case roseca. But I don't think that would make his fingers swell so much.

Camilla might be dropsical and Charles might be suffering from high blood pressure.

Charles and Camilla brush up on their art skills during painting session

Quote
Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall had a creative afternoon when they visited an art project on Thursday.

The royals were touring the Katara Cultural Village in Doha, Qatar, on the fourth day of their Middle East tour when the children urged them to roll up their sleeves and get involved.

The royals obliged and shared a joke with their young charges as the group painted together. Charles and Camilla were touring the workshop of the School of Prince Charles for Traditional Arts, an endeavor which is organised by the British Council.

The royal couple are currently on the second leg of a tour of the Middle East taking in Qatar, Saudia Arabia and Oman. Their trip began in Jordan.

On Thursday, the couple also visited Doha's Science and Technology Park,  where the Duchess met Bedouin women being trained as sales agents for mobile phone companies.

Camilla sat down with the women to talk about how their lives have been changed. They told her that through selling phones and tariffs they have been able to increase their household income.

The Duchess told them: "Well, I think you are all really brilliant. I don't know how you manage it, especially with all those husbands and children.

"I can see how your confidence has rocketed."

Prince Charles lives on the edge with Omani sword dance

Quote
As they old saying goes, when in Rome, do as the Romans do.

Although Prince Charles's latest cultural immersion came in Oman, it certainly followed that principle. The royal fearlessly stepped up to take part in a traditional sword dance in the historical fort of Nizwa, Oman, during the last leg of his Middle East tour.

As a frantic drum beat pounded through the square, the Prince tried his best to follow the rhythm set by his fellow dancers. His wife, the Duchess of Cornwall, looked on from the sidelines and could barely suppress her giggles.

The royal couple had earlier toured Fort Nizwa, a 12th century castle which is one of Oman's national treasures.

They met market sellers, and both Charles and Camilla were impressed by their artisan wares. Crowds of wellwishers, mostly children waving Union Jack flags, had gathered to welcome their royal visitors.

Charles and Camilla were always going to be given a warm welcome in Oman. Ruling Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said , is a longtime friend of the British royals, the Queen in particular.

Such is the regard for the Queen in Oman that the Sultan laid on three days of extravagant events for her and Prince Philip during their last visit in 2010.

He was also on hand to welcome their son Charles when he and the Duchess arrived in Oman on Sunday evening.

The Times has a columnist (behind pay wall) ask which half baked courtier arranged for C&C to arrive in Saudi Arabia on a Friday when the public executions of people who have committed adultery take place!

Also it is alleged the trip is a cover for arms deals with PC representing BAE Systems. I think Diana would have been in even greater conflict with the RF had she still been alive.

http://act.caat.org.uk/lobby/71

A much longer piece giving the background to the UK's involvement with Saudi and it's interesting reading but to briefly state the British became involved in training the RF's guards after the row over Egypt had subsided and sent top military people in to oversee the training with varied results.

Part of that brief was to also place themselves in a useful place geographically and to gather intelligence. This continues to this day.

Quote
But the British Government has persisted and the British Military Mission still exists with its aim intact. In 2006, the Ministry of Defence said its “purpose is to provide advice and training assistance to the [Saudi Arabian National Guard] in order to promote regional and national stability. The [British Military Mission]’s objectives are to build [Saudi Arabian National Guard] capacity for Internal Security”.

And this was still the case more recently (http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/...). On 14th March 2011 the National Guard sent scores of UK-made armoured personnel carriers into Bahrain. The armoured vehicles, marketed as Tacticas, were manufactured by BAE Systems Land Systems Division in Newcastle Upon Tyne with final assembly taking place in Belgium. The Saudi Ambassador to London, Prince Mohammed Bin Nawaf Al-Saud, said the Saudis had “sent a brigade of specialised units to secure and protect critical Bahraini installations and infrastructure" and that “Saudi forces have not engaged in any security operations against Bahraini citizens” (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics...). Nonetheless this no doubt freed up Bahraini security forces to carry out their campaign of violence and human rights abuses against protesters.

The sycophants are trying to top each other in the DM comments. Got a good laugh over one who said it took a lot of Courage for Camilla to give up her life to marry Charles and be a royal. Do people really believe that rubbish? It took a lot of nerve for her to get where she is today and she is living in the lap of luxury after years of manipulation and scheming.

Yeap ! I particularly like the start of the article:
"Wasn’t that thoughtful of us, to respond to the camps of Syrian refugees by sending them Charles and Camilla?"
