In this pic Q Mary wearing nearly all of the Cambridge emeralds at once!  Shocked

This is the sisterhood medal http://www.picardyantiquesltd.com/.media/858133444729.jpeg

Which if I continue to serve I will be eligable for in something like 50 years  tehe OK more like when I am 58, which as I am 24 is a few years away. You have to be a part of the Fellowship which you earn after many years of service

I have earned many badges and awards though, this is the one I a most proud of http://www.stjohnsupplies.co.uk/common/suppliesImage.asp?ProductID=B12600&mode=large it is called the Grand Prior award which took me 8 years to earn. I worked none stop from the age of 10 to 18 to earn it.  roll

My friend was one of a few chosen each year to be presented with it by the RF. She was given hers by Princess Anne at BP. She says the décor is sparse and cold  easter-lol

Anyway to answer your question we have the Queen's honours for Knighthoods, MBE's and OBE's twice a year. We have the New Year's Honours list and The Queen's (Official) Birthday list.  CZJ was given an MBE I believe  easter-think she was named over the New Year and we have just had another list released a few weeks ago in honour of her Official Birthday

Btw the tiara that matches the George VI set was commissioned in 1963 by HM, I think it's one of the last mayor jewel commissions by the BRF, not counting engagement rings!
http://www.pricescope.com/forum/download/file.php?id=99656

HM in a ruby set: the necklace and bracelet were bought at an auction in '64, the tiara was commissioned later in '73 (it's supposed to resemble lotus flowers), the rubies used for it come from a wedding gift from the Burmese ppl to HM. http://www.pricescope.com/forum/download/file.php?id=99300

Alexandra in her coronation robes is incredible, she seems to be wearing all her jewels that day  tehe But she doesn't look tacky and she was very pretty imo. Most of my favourite jewels of the BRF were owned by her. For ex.: the Dagmar necklace or the fringe tiara.

Akasha I've read that the central part of this tiara http://www.pricescope.com/forum/download/file.php?id=99656 was made by a brooch owned by Queen Marie Henriette of Belgium

Speaking of 16th century jewelry, this is an actual ring owned by Queen Elizabeth I.  She never ever spoke about her mother, Anne Boleyn (or very very rarely if ever).  Anne was executed by Elizabeth's father, Henry VIII, when Elizabeth was 3 years old.  However, Elizabeth wore this ring and it has a secret compartment that opens to reveal two portraits, one of herself as Queen, and one of her mother, Anne Boleyn.  I find that a very poignant story and a quiet remembrance for her tragic mother. The ring is made of mother of pearl on the inside and plated with gold, and embedded with rubies.  The letter "E" for Elizabeth is made up with diamonds.  http://www.pricescope.com/forum/download/file.php?id=180784 opened http://www.pricescope.com/forum/download/file.php?id=184591 http://www.pricescope.com/forum/download/file.php?id=184592
