While Kate’s wedding dress designer still remains a “State Secret” it seems that her sister Pippa may have blown the cover on her own.

Kate’s maid-of-honor was seen on Thursday at Alice Temperley’s West London showroom; arriving in her BMW Z4 and making no attempt at dodging onlookers.

Nice job, Pip!

Mum Carole was also on hand, leading to speculation that Temperley may be designing Kate’s dress as well. We’re not buying into this. In our opinion, it is quite normal for any mum-of-the-bride to attend a fitting of the bridesmaid dress, especially given that it is her daughter.

Temperley Greets Pippa and Carole:

Both Middletons were met on the streets outside the shop by Ms. Temperely herself, who greeted them with kisses on both cheeks.

An onlooker shared with The Mail, “Pippa was in high spirits and very smiley. She was carrying what seemed to be a shoe bag, so possibly any gown being designed isn’t for Kate but a bridesmaid dress for Pippa.”

Readers, you’ll recall that Kate is a known fan of the Temperley London label. She recently wore a black and white dress by the designer for her first official engagement with William in December when they attended a charity concert in Norfolk.

Temperley has long been a rumored designer for one of Kate’s two wedding day dresses, along with Bruce Oldfield, Catherine Walker, Alexander McQueen’s Sarah Burton and even Daniella Issa Helayel. But alas “Dressgate” continues. A friend says, “She is loving the fact no one knows who she will wear. Close friends don’t know.”

And when asked about Pippa and Carole’s meeting with Temperley on Thursday a spokesman would only reveal, “Not that I know of. It’s nothing I can comment on.”

Buckingham Palace – not shockingly – was no better help when asked, replying, “It was a private meeting between two individuals.”

In other royal wedding news, The Mail also revealed on Sunday that Kate will have – count them – six hairdressers tending to her mane on the big day!

Both Richard Ward and James Pryce, who have tamed Middleton family tresses for years, will be joined by four of their senior stylists at the Goring Hotel. A friend reveals that a run-through has already taken place on her locks, “Kate had a practise with a hairdresser on Friday and she’s very happy with how everything is going.”

"Something as curious as the monarchy won't survive unless you take account of people's attitudes. After all, if people don't want it, they won't have it." - Prince Charles
