Fishy politics: Prince Charles's club bans women

So I suspect recent events at the Flyfishers’ Club are likely to provoke Charles once again to pick up his quill and scrawl Harriet Harman one of his infamous ‘black spider’ letters.

To remedy this, the Committee has decreed the club should adhere to an ‘all-male guest policy at all times’, with the exception of private parties. In a letter to members, club president Anthony Edwards writes: ‘It is with great regret that, now that the committee is fully appraised of the law, we can no longer invite ladies to certain club events.’
