Knowing Charles he just wants the visit to be about him and not the Queen. His ego is enormous and in the end it will cause him more problems than it already has.  easter-think

Err that union jack thing makes perfect sense to me! dontknow
I mean the NZ-ers have their own flag just like Canada and Australia why shouldn't they wave their own?!
Had it been about not flying the royal standard (which they won't do any way 'cause it's C&C and not HM visiting) I might have understood the reason for an article but now  huh

I guess I should have been clearer about the part I was talking about.   tehe

Quote
Feilding Promotions manager Helen Worboys was sent an email reiterating the "key messages" on managing publicity, which included no remarks to be attributed to the royal visitors about why they were visiting Feilding and no mention of where they were going after they leave the rural Manawatu town.

Since the people of New Zealand are paying for the trip their Representatives and news media should be able to speak about whatever they feel is important to them.

William and Lupo: the real royal love match

http://www.scoop.co.nz/stories/PO1210/S00007/union-jack-ban-for-charles-sign-of-desperation.htm

It's interesting to me that the Stuff news website is running this article, and not the NZ Herald. They are the top two media outlets in NZ and are competitors.  The Herald is slightly more royalist than Stuff/Fairfax Ltd/Dominion Post newspaper.

I'm seriously considering following the royal tour and uploading pics and videos.  I will definitely be there for the Wellington public events... maybe try to start off some crowd booing.  Muahaha.

Please be careful, I don't want you to get arrested  flower but it would be nice if you could report on Camz and Charles

^ flower Aw, thankyou for your concern, Alexandrine... I would be very careful not to get caught.  I am torn between wanting to protest my backside off vs being royal reporter for the day.  I think I will tend towards the latter when it comes down to it.

Spice you can achieve quite a lot by being an observer and recorder by being the eyes and ears and reporting back on what is said or done or happens. It's the stuff the papers don't show - the snubs, the police bundling observers around - you know the score.

We'll all be thrilled to hear what you learn on those days.

Richard Palmer ‏@RoyalReporter
@britishroyals There's a very small UK media party covering Charles and Camilla's tour. It will make good copy. My paper couldn't afford it.

I don't like Camz but I usually don't mind her but today her photos give me the creeps, don't know why.

To me she has looked wonderful throughout the tour.  She looks relaxed, settled and is really enjoying herself and Charles looks exactly the same. At the Cup she really looked comfortable - because she loves racing and being at the biggest day in the Australian horse racing calendar was like a dream come true for her and when she presented the Cup she positively glowed.

What's the matter with Charles hands?

This does not look good and makes me wonder if the Queen reigns for another 10 years whether Charles and Cam will be up to it.

It looks like a circulation problem maybe caused by the flight. Would he have been in the sun for long enough to get sunburnt?

I have seen Charles's hands look like that before and it is not Sun or the long flight. I think Charles's has some serious circulation problems.

If he does there is every possibility that William will be King long before everyone expects.

His nose is starting to look red and bulbous and he does not look healthy. I think that you are right about the circulation but the flight may have made it worse. He may also have high blood pressure as he looks quite red in the face recently.
