Well those two examples are times when she is supposed to put her best face forward. Royals are supposed to be happy in public... not shying away from the camera's. It becomes evident that someone is camera hungry is when they are supposed to be private moments and the person can't help but mug for the camera.

Take these pics of Kate:

On Kate's so called career and work ethic; a coworker from Jigsaw when Kate was working said this: "A fellow staff member said: "Kate is a nice enough girl but she was never what you might call committed to the job.She never worked full-time and appeared to take an inordinate amount of time off to go jetting round the world with her boyfriend."

The Crown Prince Couple has now arrived in Melbourne. At the same time urges fashionistas Mary to spice up her wardrobe.

The Crown Prince Couple began Wednesday morning local time, their visit to Melbourne, where Mary and Frederik are staying until Sunday at their tour of the Crown Princess' homeland.

Mary is very familiar with the second largest city Down Under. In the late 1990s she worked for an advertising firm in Melbourne, as the popular royal couple last visited in 2008.

Mary and Frederik on quick visit in Canberra

Mary and Frederik participated in a campaign for Danish industry, but before that Mary received the obligatory bouquet of flowers from a seven-year girl.

- Hi Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary. The flowers are for you, it sounded from Catherine Babie, who had come all the way from Adelaide with her mother for the short session, according to ABC Melbourne.

Catherine told Mary that she was born the day before, Mary and Frederik were married.

The Crown Prince then went on with the program and spoke warmly to local businessmen about opportunities in renewable energy.

- We are here to promote the strong commercial links between Australia and Denmark in areas where we have common interests as clean energy and food technology, he said.

Later, Mary participated in a campaign for Danish food assisted by star chef Rasmus Kofoed.

The couple arrived in Melbourne from Canberra, and when the dust had settled after the nice visit newspaper Canberra Times talked with people from the fashion industry who would like to spice up Marys wardrobe with a little more colorful blankets.

All do, however, agree that Mary dress very elegant and suitable for a royal.

"Endless elegance, but not very Aussie," reads the headline of the article.

- Canberra fashionistas admire Mary for her infinite grace, but a little more color and maybe some Australian designed clothing would also dress her, writes the newspaper.

- She is pretty conservative in her clothing and is still very much the classic princess. She sticks to classic, ladylike clothes that never go out of fashion, fashion expert says Viktoria Novak.

Wednesday evening Mary and Frederik participates at a dinner with representatives from Danish and Australian businesses.

The Exclusive interview with CP Mary appears in Anna von Lowzows broadcast on DR, "The royal jewels" which tells about jewels from their origins in France and Russia, and now in the Danish and Swedish royal families.

Anna von Lowzow is a noblewoman by birth and has married into one of the oldest families.

Video first part. The voice over is in danish but the interview is in english and french as it is a programme to be broadcast in a number of countries.
http://www.dr.dk/nu/?t

I have it only on loan, says Crown Princess Mary about the unique ruby set she wore at the celebration  before her wedding. The ruby set is 200 years old and irreplaceable.

Overwhelmed and moved and very, very happy. Such was the emotion that poured in on Mary, as she just days before her wedding to Crown Prince Frederik was wearing the unique, rare and extremely costly ruby set, which had previously been worn by Queen Ingrid.

Mary, who was an ordinary girl from Australia, until she got engaged and married to Frederik, hardly knew what to say when she received the world famous jewels.

- When I got the ruby set from my husband and my future mother in law, I was very overwhelmed. I had never seen such a jewelery before. And for me, as a newcomer in the royal family, thinking that I should wear it - it was an overwhelming thought.

So sweet and straight forward says Princess Mary about the most beautiful gemstones in her jewelry box: The Ruby set, which she first wore, slightly nervous and very excited, some days before her wedding.

The Exclusive interview with Mary appears in Anna von Lowzows broadcast on DR, "The royal jewels" which tells about jewels from their origins in France and Russia, and now in the Danish and Swedish royal families.

The show is a unique insight into the royal jewelry and besides Mary tells Queen Margrethe, Prince Henrik, Queen Silvia and Princess Benedikte about the jewels.

One can sense that Crown Princess Mary knows a lot about the unique jewelry and their background. She had not the energy to think about the first time she wore them four days before her wedding.

- The first night I wore ruby set, there was so much new, so very overwhelming for me. It was not only the jewels, it was the importance of the entire event, the entire time I was through. It was also the dress - I had never worn such a dress before.

Both Queen Margrethe and Queen Silvia are telling about their most precious jewels.

Usually they apparently do, just as many go to the US to live under the radar and end up being as discreet as you can think. As for Aussie society, apparently there are two spheres: the flashier socialites congregate in Sydney and the more sedate socialites congregate in Melbourne. Sometimes, like Kate, Mary seems to enjoy running around Australia and flaunting her new status, as does Kate in London. It's not about marriage and a new life, it's about some form of social revenge. A "looker me" tour and lifestyle is what Mary is merrily leading.

As for a possible split, it will only happen since Frederick is apparently disillusioned wiht how Mary has turned out. She has pretty much turned from the woman he fell in love with to the type of woman he didn't wnat ot marry. He didn't marry Mary because she was posh, but because she was earthy and vivacious. Now she apparently looks and acts like the womne of society, but if he had wanted such, he owuld have married the real thing.

Crown Princess Mary has been very active and courageous putting the spotlight on inssues that are sensible in Denmark. Issues like domestic violence, bullying amongst children and refugees.

In these activities I do recognise a woman spending her time in the same spirit as Crown Prince Frederik.
