Have Leti's hems became smaller through the years?

The most Catholic princess Mathilde has worn more short skirts than Letizia over the years.

There are all old dresses/skirts bought from previous years except for the new Zara dress she wore to go shopping. The short skirts have been the trend the last few years, even very old politicians/public figures in Spain wore short skirts. Letizia's fashion issue is not her short skirts that she only wore occasionally, it's the quality of her clothes, too much Felipe Varela, Mango or Zara.  Her mother-in-law has many clothes from Valentino, Oscar de la Renta, why can she buy the same quality clothes ? Oscar de la Renta and Carolina Herrera are both from the Hispanic world, Leti would look fav dressing some of their designs.

I would say that there are different rules for the queen & Letizia. Fair or not Letizia won't be able to wear Oscar de la renta or Carolina Herrera any time soon.

Mathilde's clothes are sometimes too short but because they have better quality or she cannot project nothing than a sweet/boring image her clothes don't make her look tarty, while Letizia's does.

I also wouldn't say that because something is trendy she should wear it, I still remember those ugly short trousers that were not trendy at all but very inappropriate and everyone justified her choice with that reason.

I don't think Letizia looked tarty either, she looked pretty cute in her short skirts in general since she is petite, just short skirts don't belong to traditional outfits for a royal at official events, thus some would complain for sure. I love her shopping clothes recently published by Hola.

I suppose that it is pretty subjective but I wouldn't say that she didn't look tarty in her favourite purple skirt with her usual booties.

I agree, Mathilde could wear anything and she will always look like a nun.  tehe

oi! sauer
That's my crown princess your talking about!
Now is that nun thingy meant as a compliment or not?  dontknow lols
I think she (matilde) usually looks good & classy and both ladies look really good in the leg department for being multiple mom's! thumbsup
No knobbly knees like Kate and Pippa have tehe

But I have to say that some of Leti's hems shown here were an inch or two to short for my taste.

http://www.diariofemenino.com/images/galeria/18000/18086_m.jpg This is OK
http://www.gettyimages.es/detail/fotograf%C3%ADa-de-noticias/princess-letizia-of-spainattends-the-summer-fotograf%C3%ADa-de-noticias/103738477 This is not OK, the dress looks tooo... baby-doll like? (thin fabric, light cut) and a three inch longer skirt would have helped in this case.

In most cases she wears tights with the shorter dresses which helps to make it look more decent.

Well the nun remark is meant kind of neutral  tehe

A little like Julie Andrews in the sound of music. She could walk in her underwear and still look - like a nun.

But perhaps if one has the Julie Andrews look, one would like to look like Dolly Parton. Even though Dolly Parton also look like a nun - with big hrmm. She is not looking like a tart even with the big ....

Getting derailed all by myself. I'll stop.  tehe

I love the dress, the lace covers the short skirt, very nice for a Mediterranean summer night.

When is this woman going to grow up?

She's suppsedly too ill to do much of anything but mope and she's dressing in shorter shorter, shorter hemlines. She shoudl dress better for public engagements and save the sexy pot look for private parties and socializing. That is, if she can pull herself out of bed from her angst.

Letizia is more active than most of the royals, if she is too ill to do anything, most of other royals should be dying soon LOL.
I saw a quite few women politicians in Spain or France wearing mini skirts, they are older than Letizia, perhaps it's a culture difference.
