None of the usual fanfare that surrounds Kate, I like it  thumbsup

So will this count as 2 engagements? One for the school and another for the fire station?

This would have counted as two engagements because she visited two places and did two things.

She doesn't get the fanfare or coverage of Kate because she is only married to the third son, currently 7th in line to the throne and within the next few years surely to drop further down the pecking order.

Kate will only progress up the pecking order over the years - wife of 2nd in line, wife of heir, wife of King and then back down again (assuming she outlives William).

^^Good idea, Akasha!  This is the kind of thing that I have always admired about the British Royalty.  And now I just think of them, since WK, as a bunch of losers and let's start a revolution already.

It would be good medicine to see that some are doing something to further the cause of their country that supports them financially and emotionally!!!!

I know that Prince Charles his sons and their wives with get press and popular attention for obvious reasons but what bothers me about the relationship between Prince Charles brothers and the press is that the brothers never get any credit for what they do right but God help them if the press finds something wrong with what they are doing suddenly they are "important" and are front page news  sly like the case of Sophie and the "bloody" jewelry (roll eyes) .

Yeah so I just did the maths..

What the Wessex did up until now:
They started on 11th of January and have 147 engagements! (including their oversea jubilee trip) between the two of them in just 31 working day's, (remember we are only at day 85 of this year's calendar).
That's an average of nearly five appointments a day or 2.5 per person thumbsup
And they are not even the real top gun in the firm.... :eyes:
Waisty should be ashamed..

She's a sweetheart. Looks so much like Pr.Edward and the Queen, with a dash of Sophie.

Sophie has been doing a stellar job as a working Royal this past decade, it's ashame the major UK press pretends she doesn't exist, until they want to say something mean about her.

I think they can't really find anything mean to say about Sophie or Edward, so, as you say SG they just pretend she doesn't exist, typical bullying press, and they are mean spirited.
The Queen adores her, as does Princess Anne and her family and they are the ones who count, not the nasty press or anyone else. Also the Queen knows she can send them to represent her at continental royal weddings, anniversaries etc.  That says a lot, they are a safe pair of hands.

Yup I think it's same thing for Anne.
They can't say anything bad about her so they act as if she's not there at all!
(That or they just don't have the gut's to bash her tehe I believe she's quite the force to reckon with if she pissed off! easter-lol)

I think it's a silent agreement of some kind: Anne does a lot of work for the firm, makes hardly any waves (unlike Andrew) and in return the press leave her alone.
