Royal of Sweden and Norway, two presidents and the entire Danish royal family of Denmark, Berleburg and London celebrates next month that it is 40 years since Queen Margrethe ascended the throne.

Two large evening parties, coach driving through Copenhagen, the Royal Guard in dress uniform and all the great royal family out on the balcony at Amalienborg - yes, there's plenty to look forward to when Queen Margrethe next month celebrates its 40-year government jubilee.

Denmark is one of the world's oldest monarchies, yes, Japan is older, but it is an empire. Queen Margrethe is also one of the regents, who has served longest on the Danish throne, so a 40-year government jubilee is definitely something special.

Queen is to celebrate three consecutive days, from Friday 13 January to Sunday 15 in January.

Queen Margrethes 40'th new year speach.

http://www.dr.dk/Nyheder/Indland/2011/12/31/173603.htm

Also many of the young, the situation is worrisome. They can not not find work or they do not get the education that can improve their chances of finding employment. This is serious, not just for the individual young person but the entire community. For it is the young who must lead our society forward, they are the ones that our future must be based.

When times are uncertain, we also become less sure of ourselves. We are hesitant about the challenges, it is understandable enough, but it must not lead to paralysis. As a society we can not dig ourselves into the concerns, but see the problems of the eyes and do something about them.

We have faced adversity before and we've seen before how we could get through a crisis by biting the teeth together, support each other and not give up. We can not leave it to others or to chance, how we should proceed. We need to make sure you get where we can find a starting point. This applies both mentally and quite specific.

You may find new ways. For the young can it be to find another track if you do not enter the dream education. Maybe they should move to another city or another province, where opportunities for work or education is better there. We have great benefits and many opportunities in Denmark, perhaps precisely because the country is not so great, and we are not so many. But it takes effort to see the opportunities and exploit them.

No rumours nor any speculations. Those lazy tabloids.

Its great that the swedes and the norwegians come but it would be nice to see the english royals as well as the ones from the "continent". I expect to see Quen Margarethes sisters from England(Greece) and Germany.

Yep, that's expected I think. So surprised that Charles has never showed Camilla in one of the glittering parties, maybe he doesn't like them.

They must receive invitations much before to plan ahead, if he doesn't attend it's because he doesn't want to.

A bit of news about Queen Margrethes 40 th jubilee next weekend.

http://www.seher.no/886540/mette-marit-til-koebenhavn

Crown Princess Mette-Marit (38) will next weekend visit Denmark to celebrate Queen Margrethe government anniversary.

It has previously been known that Queen Sonja (74) and King Harald (74) would represent Norway, but the castle also confirms that Crown Princess Mette-Marit and Crown Prince Haakon (38) will join the festivities.

 royal lunch
While the Norwegian king and Queen already arrive Friday night, Mette Marit and Haakon arrives for the celebrations on Sunday 15 January.

The day begins with a royal lunch at Frederik VII's Palace at Amalienborg, where Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary will host the buffet.

Then the guests proceed directly to the festive service at Christiansborg Palace Church before the royals get some breathing room and time to dress for the gala Table at Christiansborg Palace.

 sparkling tiaras
Both Mette-Marit and Sonja are going to dress up in their sumptuous gala gowns, and hairdressers are ready to secure the tiara in her hair before they arrive at the solemn Table. Recently, Mette-Marit also have used older tiaras from the late Queen Maud.

The Norwegian royal family owns a variety of tiaras and jewelry sets that have not been seen for many, many years, and it is expected that Mette-Marit will use some of these at the 40-anniversary celebration in Denmark.

The Crown Prince Haakon and Princess Mette Marit will experience a warm reunion with the European royal families. The Queen Silvia and King Carl Gustav has also accepted the invitation.

As Queen Margrethe's younger sister Anne Marie is the Queen of Greece, is probably the whole of the Greek royal family also expected, including Mette-Marit's good London friend, Princess Marie Chantal.

Extract from the paperissue of Billedbladet Jubilee magasin with interview of Q Margrethe:

-I'm looking forward to the jubilee. I think it is exciting that there actually has gone so many years. It is incomprehensibly because sometimes I think it was only yesterday and sometimes I think it has been forever.

(My translations is a bit difficult because the Queen always express herself a bit vague and poetic. She has of course been forced to express herself in this manner because she is not allowed to express any political views.)

-What is the monarchies biggest challenge?

-That is to keep balance.

-What do You remember from the day You was proclaimed to be the Queen?

-It made a huge impression to me that there was so many people as it was in the middle of winter and icy cold. As I stood on the balcony I thought "Now is the time" - for the moment my father had been looking forward to. That he had been hoping for. That I had to manage.

-You decided to be called Margrethe II. Why?

-Because I thought that den previous Queen Margrethe obviously was the first. (She was a monarch on behalf of her son but ruled Sweden, Norway an Denmark after political maneouvers) She was Queen in a different way but one has always perceived her as a Queen and it certainly was her that that controlled the performance at the time. So I thought it would be wrong to tell people that I was the first as I wasn't.

(..)

-How much can You see from the balcony? (referring to the balcony events at birthdays etc.)

-One can easily see the persons on the ground. On my 70th birthday there was so many danish flags. I don't think I have ever seen so many. I also always notice when there are other flags. There can be flags from Greenland and Færøerne. There are always australian flags and I think it is so wonderfull. That I notice immidiately.

(..)

-Are Your daughters in law different?

-Definitely, they are very different. The scottish in the Crownprincess is very strong, a very good strength. It is something about being grounded and realistic. To have both feet on the ground and yet more than just that. And then that she comes from a very good family. And Marie, that has the french background also comes with something that we all think is nice. We get the french once again. For my husbond off course a great delight (he is french) but also for me. And she really is a a sweet and lovely girl. One should not give ones family grades but it is difficult not to give them topgrades, the two.

(..)

-Have You always liked to sail?

-Yes I have always thought it was wonderfull. (..) The Crownprince has become a sailor himself. Even when the CP couple was in Australia they went sailing and I know he was looking forward to that.

(..)

-Are the danes different?

-They are not alike even though they are danes. To be in Northern Jutland is not the same as to come to Fun. and Eastern Jutland is not the same as Vestern Jutland. People from Sout Jutland has also their own way.

(..)

-What do You remember from the CP couples wedding?

-That it was a great and wonderfull event. We were so delighted. We were so pleased with our daughter in law and with our sons choice. Happy that he was happy and yes we were almost bursting with happiness. That the interest was so enormous had non of us expected even though we realised  it would draw some attention when the Crownprice married and everyone could see she was so lovely. It really was so sweet that everyone took part in the occasion. We had had the opportunity to get to know our daughter in law and we were very pleased with her. We thought that she was such a genuine person. And that she has also proven.

(..)

-When Prince Joachim married Alexandra it was also a big wedding?

-It certainly was. And it was so beautiful with the weather. Because we had snow as You may recollect? But the latest wedding was in Møgeltønder and it was a summerwedding. It was a lovely summer. Uh it was beautiful. It was a nice event.
(I'm guessing the Queen tries to turn the conversation away from Alexandras wedding to Maries wedding)

(..)

-Do You think CP Frederik will experience a 40th jubilee?

-That we can't know. But I have a feeling that could be a possibillity. Frederik has a big sense of responsibility and he has a serious intention. And w both believe that is something to pass to the next generation.

-When will CP Frederik get to the throne?

-That will be apparent. But I still felle it will be the day I drop of the stick (danish expression). And I think he is aware of this. I think he will be a great King. He has a lot of experience and super support from his wife.

-Do You give him advice?

-It is not that I give him advice. That I don't. But we discuss issues and he asks. We have a fantastic relationsship I think. And I think one can tell. The same goes indeed for Prince Joachim. We don't see eachother as much as Frederik and I, because we also work together besides that we get together off course. (Frederik and Q Margrethe live in two buildings next to each other).

Two women with power in Denmark
08th January 2012 12:00 Inland
Third October 2011 Denmark got its first female prime minister, when Helle Thorning-Schmidt to present its new SR-SF-government for the Queen and the Danes. It has left its mark on the conversations that the Prime Minister has with the queen.

- Occasionally, we come also to talk about things that are not just to do with the political. To celebrate 40 year anniversary, we obviously talked about becoming ruler of Denmark, and the experiences of the Queen has made. And we also talked a little about being the first woman in an office, says Helle Thorning-Schmidt.

Inquisitive queen
Helle Thorning-Schmidt has met with an interested queen who asks about all current cases when she has her weekly briefing of the monarch on current political matters.

- She has a good insight in Danish foreign policy, and general political issues interest her too. I always write a little list of things I must remember to get mentioned.

- One of the things we obviously have talked about is the Danish EU Presidency, and it interests certainly the queen. What can we contribute and what they expect other countries? And then, there has been a full discussion of the so-called financial covenant as the euro countries have made. So there are a number of things that are so current that we must talk about them, and I feel that the Queen is interested.

New Prime Minister on the polished floors
- I've never felt it was awkward or difficult to come to these meetings.
- I tell what is happening. It's a real conversation, says Helle Thorning-Schmidt.

Videos of Queen Margrethe at the Parliament celebrating the 40th jubilee.

Arrival of QMII and CP Frederik and Mary. And the speach.
http://nyhederne.tv2.dk/article.php/id-47343227:lykketoft-kongehuset-er-et-holdepunkt.html

Afterwards photographs were taken
There was loving glances to a degree that one would not think there was talk about the Danish royal family.

Queen Margrethe and her prince consort was, deeply in love as they appeared to photography in connection with the large-scale news conference Tuesday that Margtehe was the protagonist of thanks to her 40 year anniversary as ruler.

When the royal couple sat on the sofa, there was virtuous distance in between them.

But then the couple sent loving glances to each other.

And when they again had to get up and stand, was the queen several times to kiss her husband - which obviously does not belong to during such an event.

After a couple of Margaret UPS, where she was a little too close to her husband, lips, he planted a smack-kiss on his wife's cheek.

Like two teens rose color to their heads and laughed away before they left the hall.

Queen Margrethe gives interview to CNN

I hope this link works. I don't know if it is the whole interview or only a preview as the interview will be broadcast Saturday evening according to my information. As I am informed there should be high praises to CP Mary.
