actually it's a simpel thingy that has been bugging TCP and me for a while.
sometimes when we check the 'who's online list' we notice that somehow some guests are posting! blink
i don't know how they do it!  dontknow
because it's supposed to be impossible.
so i thought that maybe it's some hidden user that's posting so i made myself invisible (simsalabim) and posted something.
that's all
no big secret! (but we still don't know the answer  dontknow)

Ahh, so this is what you meant! idea
No. If you make yourself invisible, then you will not appear as a guest in the online list. Only admins can see you are online. Other members know how many hidden members are online from the main page, but nothing else.
But that still doesn't explain how  guests seem to be able to post blink dontknow

interesting, wonder if it's one of us who may have a second screen open and when we're posting a reply that's how it comes up? Can you tell, from as an Admin?

hey now there's a good theory, let's try it....hmm nope
I'm a member in both windows
you can't post on two things at the same time
you'd have to swap between windows even if they are both open next to each other, right?
unless your working with 2 laptop next to each other and just post smileys, by using both your mouses
I can't type 2 different things at the same time!
I have trouble with normal 10 finger typing, nevermind trying to do it on two claviers at the same time!
that would be really odd huh blink

easter-lol, i'm talking about the behind the sceens... ok... an example right now I have to screens open to RG, one is here the other is the main page to the forum... when you look at the list what does it say, am I at both or what?  Does it see me here and the other as a guest or viceversa?  better yet I'll have one screen here... and I'll go and start an new one in off topic... a new topic called 'famous people you've met?'

It happens on all forums.
Something to do with their passwords.
Not sure how it works, though I do know what you mean.

I'm thinking it asks them in their 'profile' section if they'd like other users to see them on line or not?
They can click 'show' or 'don't show'.

oooh  Ok, I'm an idiot.  What exactly are our perameters?   Not sure of the spelling there which disturbs me.

This is strictly a free-for-all and I can actually say what I really think?  Is that the dealio?  I mean without profanity and wishing death, etc.huh?

Have a look in your profile section.
When you registered, it would've asked you the question, sometimes it's already ticked for you, so you may have bypassed it.

actually you are on the test board and this is a topic for experiments with posts.
(Like I explained in my first post) You can use this topic if you don't want to open your own test topic.
You can post all sorts of test -like how to post images/smilies directily in the post, or how to quote or use codes aww
I you are looking for a chat then you can post here in our chat lounge: http://royalgossip.forumprofi.de/index.php?topic=136.0

But to answer your question. No you can't just say everything -like wishing somebody death-  :( You may express your opinion freely, but everything that would harm or discriminate a group or an individual is considered against the forum rules flower

and now back on topic easter-wink
