A Severus Snape book would be gorgeous. I always felt pity for him and his mother.

I have to say the last book disappointed me. The best one was Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban IMO.

^^My fave also, with the fifth.

I don't want another book, I didn't like the last one and I doubt that a new one is going to be better. Unless she starts a completely new story imo.

oh yay I hope it's true Spooky-bat
more HP means more fanfic for me to read afterwards tehe
I do hope she does a prequel, I wanna know what happened to the original order of the phoenix in the first war!
or a book centring around Voldemort and his rise, oh yeah a book about voldie and his deatheaters that would be soo cool! tehe

I wouldn't mind a prequel but I think we know everything about Dumbledore or Voldie already.

Maybe about how Hogwarths was created or something similar.

I'm curious what is, she first said she was going to write a new book, but Daniel talked her out of it.
My fav is book 6 The half Blood Prince. I love the character Snape (and fan of Alan Rickman).

I have to say the last book disappointed me. The best one was Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban IMO.

The last one was good that it tied up things neatly, but it wasn't as truly unique as it might have been. The battle for Hogwarts was really insubstantial and silly rather than brave and exciting. Then of course, the Malfoys getting away with having helped Lord Voldemort when in fact Draco and his family should have been sent to Azkaban and not allowed to live freely and have a family. There's no excuse for that. I think Rowling really dropped the ball on the last book and failed to try.

It's not going to be a new book after all, but then I don't know what can be the new thing?

KF I agree, the last one is reallly bad.

To me, Rowling was way too distracted with partying and building hype rather than the story itself. She didn't put the same sort of effort into it the way that she did the other stories and it was way too commerical. Dumbledore's explanations were great though, but really, couldn't they have at least tried before deciding on how the battle for Hogwarts would go?

The Pottermore is probably a new online role playing game.

ITA Kuei Fei. The battle was so superficial described, it was just running there and running here. And why do have Lupin and his wife to die?  hiss

You have a good point there. People die in these battles against evil, but it looked like Rowling was just killing various characters off who would have been quite perfect for the conclusion instead of Malfoy living or not being jailed in Azkaban. Rowling dropped the ball on that one, big time.

I've enjoying the new website all afternoon, it's fun if you've read the books and you get a wand plus you are even sorted in a house!

I had heard that she would be writing another book, but from what I understood it was going to be a completely different series. Although, I had heard that back in November, so things could have changed by now.
