There are still two weddings this year! Next year is going to be really boring in comparison.

 hello

Well I'm back from my vacation and I think that we should say about who was the better royal bride!!! I thought we can say who had the best jewel in their head... who had the better cake... the best bouquet!!! The best weddnig cereminy (this we can just talk about Charlene and kate's) And the best wedding dress!!!

So please vote and say who was for you the best bride (dress + hair+ make-up) And say the other features mentioned above.

In life nothing happens by accident. we must remember that there are no good that lasts forever. And evil that never ends. God works in mysterious ways. So I just have to accept what happens because we do not know what we gain by things go this way. Not always what initially seems an award is the. This happens when we fall in love, when we found out a new job when a friend disappears or when someone leaves for ever.

Zara, she looked the happiest of all, her dress wasn't wow, but her bright smile, lovely tiara and the oblivious love between the couple made it the most beautiful for me. aww
Kate and Charlene's weddings were to stiff-ish! bored3 (although Charlene shy (read botoxed) smile was way better that WK's insane 100 watt grin)
Big state event's ya know, which is a nice show sure, but that's not what a wedding is all about is you ask me! TCP baking cookies

True, Zara did look happiest on her wedding day.  thumbsup

Kate's dress, IMO, was not really appropriate for a church wedding. I think she would have been happier to get rid of the lace and go strapless, but protocol said she had to have sleeves. I thought the cake was pretty, but more like a cake Joe and Jane Jones would have at their wedding, not regal enought.

I think Charlene's dress, the cake, and all the decorations were very nice. They completely out-classed Willy & Waity.

Zara's dress, IMO, was just okay. I think it was probably a nice fit for her, but I didn't like the bottom of the dress.

I am not at all familiar with Princess Sofia of Isenburg - Germany, so I will not comment.  dontknow

Princess Sofia of Isenburg has not married yet so it's a bit difficult to have an opinion of her wedding.

From what we've already seen:

1. Best dress for Princess Nathalie Zu Sayn-Wittgenstein. Although Grace-like it had a twist and was very regal and perfect for her.
2. Most loving couple for Zara&Mike.
3. Best ceremony for Charlene&Albert. Although it was surrounded by controversy the ceremony was very well done. We were able to see the guests and after the disappointment in London it was a nice touch. (Hated the music though)
4. Best location for the Cambs. We couldn't see the guests and the dress was a fail but Westminster Abbey was beautiful. I also liked the music.

Charlene seems nervous lately. Maybe her new role is a bit overwhelming at times? But she'll get used to it and I'm sure things will calm down a bit.

What bothered me about the last one was it reminded me more of a funeral than a wedding.   bored3

The lying about the cost of turning them into some sort of production instead of a wedding I guess.   shifty

What irritates me these days is how these weddings are treated like fashion shows and you see these hideous outfits that are just not suitable. Dress codes should be set up and enforced. Second, girlfriends and boyfriends should not go; only spouses and siblings.

William and Lupo: the real royal love match

« Reply #17 on: October 04, 2012, 07:29:44 am »

^I basically agree with you about the girlfriends and boyfriends, but what about the argument that this rule would be different to what happens at other (smaller) "society" weddings, that they are going to all the time.

What would be better is if the rule was applied consistently, which didn't happen at the Cambridge wedding.

The Christening of Princess Estelle of Sweden was attended by her royal Aunt and Uncle's respective partners, one of whom was a former soft porn model.  I cringed a little.

^Good point.  Cross-species marriage should not have been legalised before gay marriage.
