Queen Elizabeth's Handbag A Style Hit
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/05/11/queen-elizabeth-handbag-launer_n_860423.html
Quote
sales at Launer London have increased 60 percent since the monarch took in the nuptials with her boxy, leather handbag in tow. The British newspaper writes, "In sharp contrast to Launer's appeal amongst the 50-plus establishment; 20 percent of the sales increase has been caused by stylish women in the 35-50 age bracket."

The queen's purse was made specifically for her, but Launer's offerings are priced between about $600 to $1,400 and sported by the likes of Dame Judi Dench and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall. Classy, of course!

I LOVE her handbags. It wouldn't be HM without 'em and they're beautifully built.

Kate's granny-in-law is a trend setter too: Sales of Queen's Royal Wedding handbag shoot up by 60%

Pippa's maid of honour dress is a favourite with brides-to-be and Kate's perfume now has huge a waiting list, but the Queen is not one to be upstaged. She too has triggered a shopping boom - of handbags.

I've found this DM artcile and thought about having a thread about HM's fashion choices 'cause even at her age, HM looks wonderful and many ladies could follow her tips. What do you girls think about that? Cool Cool
I think we should / could also discuss her fashion through all her life and we, for example, might share our favourities among her gowns etc. So once again, what are your thoughts? If not, I"ll delate the topic...

It's a crochet pattern they sell so you can make it yourself!
They got Diana's wedding dress, Queen Victoria, Queen Mary II and even one for the Duchess of Windsor, Anne Boleyn and Marie Antoinette!
I'm not into handwork but that looks nice!

    Jane

I totally agree with you, may she live as long as her mother, and pass the throne to Diana's son.. either one.

I don't like all the Queen's choices but what I do like is that she chooses what to wear and sticks to it and doesn't let silly trends or comments affect her choices, now that I can respect!
