If there are five hundred thousand homeless, yes. How amny live in the City of London alone? If there are more living there, the press could easily state that five hundred thousand were in London for the wedding, since millions live there already!

 I read a comment on DM that planned coach trips from Bristol had been scrapped due to lack of interest. I have absolutely no doubt many people will head to London but it is April, it is still frosty overnight and can rain; there is the security nightmare and many people either can't afford the petrol, are away or just no bothered. Wait and see though the official numbers will still be 500,000 even if it's just a few bus loads of WI and the Westminster Peace Camp.
