Borrowed this book from a friend - very interesting wand well worth a read - is availbale on Kindle

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Princess-Diana-Conspiracy-Alan-Power/dp/0957573804

This review makes a very good point - ie why John Morgan went to the trouble of writing a book to discredit Alan Power rather than just  a review

The most chilling betrayal of all: RICHARD KAY on the disturbing revelations that royal physicians drugged Diana and were terrified she'd pass on her 'dangerous' illness

Sir John Batten, who treated Diana, believed 'dangerous condition' was genetic
A Royal Household doctor and two medics were also said to share his concerns
Views were shared in a letter written by the psychotherapist Dr Alan McGlashan

This doctor sounds like something out of a horror movie.  This episode reminds me of the film Gaslight.
Are you talking about Sir John Batten?

Dr Alan McGlashan WAS, in fact, defending Diana ... and putting a  stop  Penny Junor/Sally B Smith spin

It seems the Queen support(s)/ed the view of Charles of how Diana was a mad woman... when she was fully aware that Charles married Diana while he was in love & sleeping with Camilla since when Diana was pregnant with William...

This sort of stories just makes William even closer to Carole

I recall in Gaslight, the villain lied to the wife saying her mother was mad and died in an institution so he had to put her away since she inherited. This is real life and Charles and his pals label his ex wife mad even after she's dead. Charles should be barred from the succession for the sleazy behavior.

Nice seeing a fair comment re: Liz Windsor
romft, wells, United Kingdom, 3 hours ago
I used to be an ardent royalist, but not now,i see beyond the fakery and falseness. The Windsor's are ruthless and cruel beyond measure.Elizabeth has not been a good Queen, her coldness and greed is legendary, and even when she went to the hospital in Manchester after the atrocities, her comment to all the victims was ''did you enjoy the concert.?'' Never in 65 years has she held a desperately sick child, she has kept her distance and with the security of the gloved hand to avoid contamination.I believe all this dreadful damning of Diana is down to Charles,Mrs CPB's ,the queen,Phillip and not forgetting Penny Junor. I never thought I would say this, but a republic has to be considered.?

^ I don't think the Spencers have a Chapel. They have a local church at Althorp, where generations of Spencers are interred in the vaults. I've always thought she's there, near her father and her beloved grandmother Cynthia, whom she thought of as her own guardian angel.

Too bad Cynthia Spencer did not live longer. I think she would have been protective of Diana much more than that cold hearted other grandmother Lady Fermoy, who betrayed her own daughter and granddaughter.

I too think she's in the church/ traditional burial place of the Spencers with her dad. There are compelling witness accounts that point very much to that. I think it was said that she is in the same space (or one above? below?) with her dad -  it allows for two coffins. This is the first time I noticed an article on that very question/ theory, and it's also a very recent one - from yesterday or so.

Apart from logical thinking and logistics (getting a coffin to the island, the dampness, possible flooding, the neglect of the island over the years, not really being able to simply pay your respects as her family, namely she isn't accessible, etc etc), I don't think her relatives (I think both Charleses - her brother and ex - were guilt ridden) wouldn't allow for her to be buried alone in such a place. On top of that she was the daughter of an earl, princess of Wales, and mum of a future king and to put someone of such a position and held in high esteem by the people and peers was and is unthinkable.

The great what ifs... Interesting to think how things may have been different had her granny Cynthia been alive... With further possibilities of either Fermoy not being alive or both grannies being alive and battling it out..

Charles the Ex was IMO decidedly not  guilt ridden, just worried about how people would blame him. After a few months of photo ops with Will and Harry off he was back promoting Camilla at Diana's expense. The first Junor poison pen about Diana came out just about a year later and they have continued since, last year was another C and C cooperative effort with Junor to trash DIana and try to raise Camilla to sainthood. I think her brother was more resentful about Diana's treatment by the royals than anything else. Charles the ex if he felt the least concern would not have ever cooperated with Junor and other Diana bashers. I think Charles is a disgrace. And Camilla who survived to get all that she desired even whined during an interview last year how she could not leave the house because people did not like her. Maybe she should have thought about why people did not like her instead of whingeing. Charles Spencer more or less shooed the royals away, putting the Spencer standard on the coffin and removing the Windsor standard.

the windsors themselves removed the standard after funeral ceremony... i think diana would have rather prefered a funeral ceremony with the spencer standard. she was proud william and harry were very british princes becasue the spencer genes. and after the morton book and panorama interview i highly doubt she wanted anything to do with windsor standard. she probably would have hated philip walking behind her coffin (as they always had a bad relationship, she said philip told charles early in marriage as he always could be back to camilla if the marriage didnt work), let alone he pressure her traumatised sons walking behind her coffin when they didnt want that.

Reportedly, Charles Spencer said "she is a Spencer now" or something to that effect. Diana in 1992 did not want Charles to go to her father's funeral and did not want to play happy families. The QUeen had to phone her and persuade her.  I doubt Diana would have wanted Charles to follow her coffin (they came together for the boys but I don't think she would have liked the sham).

charles spencer denied the burrell story... the way the queen showed she couldnt give 2 hoots about diana's death and as literally tony blair saved her reputation... shows me charles spencer version is quite true

REVEALED: How Prince Charles dramatically tried to stop court case of Diana’s butler Paul Burrell that threatened to humiliate the Royals

Police found a hoard of items belonging to Princess Diana at her butler's home
Paul Burrell was later accused of stealing 310 items together worth £4.5 million
11 days into the trial, the Queen 'had a recollection' proving Burrell's innocence

As the search continued, the police discovered 2,000 negatives. A cursory look revealed Charles in the bath with his children, and many others showing the young princes naked.

Other finds included 30 signed photographs of Diana, many empty silver frames, a box containing the princess’s daily personal notes to William at school, and another box of Diana’s more intimate letters to William.

As Burrell’s sobs intensified, an officer shouted from the attic: ‘It’s full of boxes, wall to wall!’

The boxes were wrenched open: inside were bags, blouses, dresses, nightgowns, underwear, shoes, jumpers, suits and hats that had belonged to Diana, including a blue-ribboned hat she’d worn during her visit with Prince Charles to South Korea in 1992.

This man should have been prosecuted... he even stole photos of william and harry naked as kids! it's BEYOND the creepiness

PS. it was idea of the queen put burrel as butler of newly married charles and diana - it was her 2nd chance to burrel (before diana, burrell had been involved in a scandal among the royal servants and was about lose his job), what stupid move of hers

Dear pumpkin pie... How besotted Burrell betrayed Diana in secret gay love letters

Those who witnessed Paul Burrell's shameful performance at last year's inquest into the death of Diana, Princess of Wales could be forgiven for thinking the former royal butler's stunning fall from grace was finally complete.

After his puffed-up, self-important few minutes of giving evidence, 50-year-old Burrell was later caught on film admitting he had not told the 'whole truth' despite being under oath.

He then refused to return to the inquest from his home in Florida to answer allegations that he lied to the jury.

Finally, there came the damning verdict of the coroner, Lord Justice Scott Baker, who described Burrell quite simply as 'a liar'.

But it seems that Burrell's deceit goes much further than was previously thought.

Quote
Next week, a Channel 4 documentary will examine the disintegration of Burrell's reputation in forensic detail.

A key figure in the hour-long programme is Burrell's former homosexual lover, Greg Pead, a man who this week revealed the full extent of Burrell's life of dishonesty when the Mail tracked him down to Australia's Gold Coast.

One of the most astounding suggestions is that shortly before Charles and Diana married on July 29, 1981, the Queen apparently suspended Burrell from his job as footman after he was implicated in a gay pornography ring on the Royal Yacht Britannia  - and only gave him his job back on the understanding that he would marry his now wife Maria (who worked for the Duke of Edinburgh).
