Lady Mary Crawley

I've been rain-dancing four a while now. 'Hope it works.  Lightning, the works.

This wedding has been beset with bad omens from the start, so  not only do I have great expectations of thunder & lightning, but flash floods & plagues of locusts too!

thumbsup Right back at you, sophiechloe. You got that proverb right too. I think it is, "There are none so blind as those who cannot see".

He should have also looked at Kate's background, the ascent of the Middletons, and wondered whether they had ingratiated themselves into his set by whatever means. Even if he didn't have proof, he should have been asking himself, or anyone who could help, some serious questions.

For example, I'm suspicious as to how she got to live in his dorm, when apparently, it wasn't easy. My my, wasn't Kate a lucky lass?  X-Mas_rolleyes

I've said this before, but IMO, it just isn't that easy to get to know royalty because they are so "closed off" and have people blocked from getting near them. They don't just randomly go and socialise with others, the way we do.

It was the same with Mary: it was purported that Fred chatted her up in a pub, which was just a lie.  pinocchio Mary's flatmate knew a woman who had become acquainted with the Spanish royals, from memory, and Mary's flatmate invited her to the pub. The woman spoke out about Mary's snub of her, after she became engaged. Apparently, the virile young royals wanted to meet some nice Aussie girls.  hall-whistle I feel quite sure that Mary knew who was going to be in the party, but I digress ...

William might make out that he's just one of the lads and approachable to all, but we all know he is coddled and protected.  X-Mas_rolleyes

William has had the same friends since Prep School, a little child. Yet the only person who does not belong to that group is Kate. The only none Aristo in his group is Kate. The list goes on.

Kate is the odd one out in every aspect.

So how did she manage to integrate into his group.

That's the big question MK. She's so beyond stable and suitable to be part of his set. All of the guys that helped her get into his set should come forward and tell their stories, IMO. She's stalked Wills for years and gets rewarded for it. The whole thing's insane.
It's all very odd that HM/PC couldn't get rid of Waity even if Wills for some odd reason wanted her around. What's the point of him be condoled if the Midds can infiltrate his circle?  As I said before, even with the downgrades for the wedding, the fact that this hideous, useless creature’s marrying a prince, however stubborn and dumb Wills can be, to me is too much to take. Right now, the Midds seem to have complete control over the BRF which is quite insane.  oooh

By using his male friends to get to him.

Princess Elizabeth (the future Queen Elizabeth II) arrived at Westminster Abbey with her father, King George VI, in the Irish State Coach for her 1947 wedding.
