NHS staff denied bonus for working royal wedding day (unless they're in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland)

Quote
While millions are looking forward to the Royal Wedding this April, there will be little reason to cheer for NHS workers in England.
Not only will thousands be expected to work the public holiday - most have been told not to expect any extra pay.

The Royal College of Nursing has condemned the approach, which differs from the rest of the UK.

Administrations in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland have confirmed that they will pay staff enhanced rates.

according to the press, Kate's family is very rich so perhaps the Midds and UG can pay the NHS staff..UG apparently made like 125 million pounds when he supposedly sold his company which he didnt even own in the first place...

The Midds are millionaires!!!  They should pay for this whole wedding themselves!!!  And for the NHS.

This is one giant mess. oooh  It would've been better had they just eloped in Vegas.

In one respect, they are supposed to work an extra day during a public holiday, but no extra money. On another hand, people who would ordinarily work, won't be working and will be losing income and other business owners will have to pay extra or lose a day of production. What a horrible mess. In hospitals, it's granted that nurses and such work holidays, but really, does everyone but Kate and William lose out on their wedding day?
