Great news! I wonder what she did her Undergraduate work in. I think it is fantastic that she is going on to do her Phd. work. Providence is a great city and Brown a great school!

Good on Gabriella!! Great news! I wonder what she did her Undergraduate work in.
I believe she studied literature whilst she was at Brown (possibly Comparative Literature? But don't quote me on that), she was working as a writer for awhile after she graduated. I remember reading an article awhile ago that said she had moved to Barcelona and she was writing for ihola!, but I think she has moved back to England since then.

a quick wikipedia search and i have found she graduated from brown with a degree in comparative Literature. Then wrote for the daily mail, hola and the spectator. She interned at womens weekly. I assume she has a B.A. I did not realize she could get a Ph.D w/o an MA. I know in the states it is possible, but I didnt realize the same was true in the U.K esp when the degrees are not the same. Wish her much success.

Still waiting for moral leadership in Britain: Queen’s cousin speaks to LSN http://www.lifesitenews.com/news/still-waiting-for-moral-leadership-in-britain-queens-cousin-speaks-to-lsn/Lord Windsor sat down with LSN at the annual plenary meeting of the Vatican’s Pontifical Academy for Life on February 25th. He spoke at length of his conversion to Catholicism, through the influence of the late Pope John Paul II, and his dedication to the pro-life philosophy.
The hope of turning society away from the post-Christian amorality, he said, lies with the post-Baby Boom generation: “Our generation is the one after [the one] which made these, I think, calamitous decisions. To some extent, our generation looks upon all that with horror.”
He said that “undoubtedly” true leaders will emerge from the generation disillusioned with the social revolution. “There are inspiring people,” he added, but “perhaps not on the national stage … One has to be patient.”
Lord Windsor was received into the Catholic Church ten years ago and became the first ever member of the current English Royal Family to be married at the Vatican and the first since 1554 to be married according to the rites of the Catholic Church. His son Albert was the first member of the Royal Family to be baptized a Catholic since 1688.
Under the 1701 Act of Settlement, Lord Windsor lost his place in line, 27th, for the English throne upon his conversion. He studied theology in university and recently moved to Italy, but when resident in London attends Mass regularly with his wife at the Brompton Oratory. Lord Windsor’s mother, Katherine, Duchess of Kent, and his sister, Lady Helen Taylor, are also converts to Catholicism.
Recently, the American media was made aware that a member of the British Royal Family was a strong pro-life Catholic when the journal First Things published an article in which Lord Windsor asserted that abortion is a greater threat to Europe than Islamic terrorism.

HRH hops to it during brewery visit http://www.burtonmail.co.uk/News/HRH-hops-to-it-during-brewery-visit.htmHis Royal Highness Prince Edward, the Duke of Kent, added a bag of hops to the Marston’s brew of Perfect Union during a whistlestop tour of the area yesterday.
The beer is being brewed to celebrate the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton on April 29.
The Duke is a first cousin of Queen Elizabeth and is 28th in line to the throne.
Marston’s head brewer, Emma Gilleland, said: “It was a real honour to have His Royal Highness the Duke of Kent start the first brew of Perfect Union.
“We have worked hard to come up with a special beer designed to celebrate the royal wedding and are delighted that a member of the Royal Family came to help us brew it.”
