50 events in 9 days can't be right surely - the golden couple couldn't do that many in 19 days Down Under in April.

Surely that should be 19 days so as not to show up how slack the younger generation actually were on that tour.

This is how it's actually done by the royals, they try to put in as much as possible in limited amount of time they have. The so called golden couple picked the minimum amount of events with the most amount of days, glorified holiday really.

Prince Charles gets into the party spirit in a traditional hat as he and Camilla receive a warm welcome during royal tour of Colombia
The Prince of Wales looked every inch the Colombian cowboy when he donned a sombrero from the Latin American country.

Charles could not resist the invitation to put on a Vueltiao - a black and white hat made from woven palm leaves and worn by peasants and cattle ranchers from the coast.

And he was also taken by women from the city of Cartagena on Colombia's Caribbean coastline who wore colourful dresses

amazing the people of Columbia are so pleased with the visit but it does showcase positive things about Columbia

Cam's outfits were suitable but geez - they'd look so much better if she            wore good foundation

Eyes front! Camilla is a little bashful as she's introduced to a ballet dancer in VERY tight trousers during a dinner in Colombia

She's long loved ballet but the Duchess of Cornwall was left looking a little bashful after being introduced to Royal Ballet star, Fernando Montaño, during a state dinner in Bogota last night.

Camilla kept her eyes firmly fixed on Mr Montaño's face during the introduction - and well away from his chest and lycra-clad behind.

The Duchess, who later described the experience of watching him as 'a privilege' has long been a fan of ballet, as has her husband Prince Charles.

Pucker up, Prince Charles! Royal gets a kiss from local schoolgirl on visit to Colombian village
Prince Charles showed his soft side today as he enjoyed a tender moment with a local school girl.

The youngster was clearly pleased to see the royal and leaned in for a kiss on his cheek after he and the President of Colombia, Juan Manuel Santos, visited La Macarena Church in Colombia.

A group of young schoolchildren had waited patiently for the Royal's arrival and cheered gleefully as he greeted them.

^Good job and great photo opps with and for the little girl - what a cutie.  Quite sweet, really.  Underneath it all, I sincerely believe that Charles is a decent caring man.  And he seems happy so that's a plus.

What a cute little girl.  :flirt: So sweet!

The comments on the article are very telling - far kinder than they are to the other couple we all adore. :tehe:

Camilla vows to do more to help victims of sexual violence after declaring herself 'humbled' by their courage
The Duchess of Cornwall yesterday declared herself 'humbled' by the courage of a group of violent physical attack survivors.

And she vowed to use her position as a member of the Royal Family to do everything she could to bring the issue of sexual violence against women 'out of the shadows and into the light'.

Speaking exclusively to MailOnline during a four-day tour of Colombia with her husband, the Prince of Wales, Camilla made clear she wanted the difficult - and often socially uncomfortable - issue of violent physical attack and sexual abuse to be a cornerstone of her work

^One thing that I, whether someone likes her or not, particularly notice as a fundraiser is that in comparison to Kate's activities, Camilla didn't make this about her.  In usual circumstances, Kate always has some personal angst whether it's bullying or drug addiction or heroism of past relatives to make the big sell.  Not so here.  Camilla put the entire focus on the issue and those devastated and affected by it and that's good to see, for me.

This way the issue is magnified, not the patron.  And that's the way it should be.

Suits you sir! Prince Charles gets ANOTHER sombrero (and Camilla is given one too) as they prepare to bid farewell to Colombia
He looked delighted when he was presented with a traditional black and white sombrero vueltiao hat during a visit to an organic fair on Wednesday. Now, Prince Charles has two after he was given another while inspecting the treasure at the Museo del Oro Zenu in Cartagena.

The Prince, clearly delighted with his duplicate gift, swiftly donned the hat and encouraged the Duchess of Cornwall to do the same with hers - much to the delight of local well-wishers.

Sombrero vueltiao hats are made from cane fibre and are a symbol of Colombia, as well as the northern Caribbean region in which the city of Cartagena is located.

What made Camilla cry with laughter? Duchess is reduced to tears during visit to Mexico's Day of the Dead celebrations

As the Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla is no stranger to a good pasty. Her Mexican hosts, however, might well be with the Duchess left crying tears of laughter as she joined a pasty-making demonstration in Real del Monte yesterday.
Fresh from a successful four-day tour of Colombia, Camilla and husband Prince Charles were making their first stop on their Mexican tour in the town of Real del Monte, which is famous for its links with Cornwall.
Although neither are known for their cooking skills, both tried their hand at making Mexico's take on the Cornish pasty, which swaps meat and potatoes for tomatoes, spices and a dash of salsa verde.

really showcasing Mexico and Columbia in a positive way so we can see this visit has been a plus for them - and Charles ' confidence after so many years of this really shows - he seems relaxed, natural and thoroughly enjoying himself as does Camilla.

Colombia seeks to remove plaque unveiled by Prince Charles

The mayor of the Colombian port city of Cartagena has said he will ask for a controversial plaque unveiled last week by Prince Charles to be removed.

The plaque memorialises a British naval officer and his troops who laid siege to the city in 1741 in an attempt to take it from the Spanish, which ruled it at the time.

It was unveiled by Prince Charles on his visit to the city last week.

The lack of mention of the Spanish losses was criticised by residents.

The plaque was damaged earlier by a local protester, who was detained by tourist police officers.

Pegleg's victory

Cartagena Mayor Dionisio Velez, who attended the unveiling with Prince Charles, said that it had never been his intention to "stir this controversy, or hurt the feelings of people".

Prince Charles puts his best foot forward in Mexico

The Prince has attempted a traditional Mexican clog dance

The Prince of Wales has proved once again when it comes to dancing, no one in the Royal Family does it better.

Charles did not have to be asked twice to join in with a group of performers when he visited the picturesque coastal Mexican town of Campeche.

Twirling a handkerchief above his head and copying the men and women around him he deftly moved his feet to the dance called Sarao Campechano.

The heir to the throne has stepped on the dance floor in a number of countries he has visited in recent years and clearly enjoys a good boogie.

He twirled a female partner around during an impromptu ballroom session in New Zealand in 2012 and even joined in a sword dance in Saudi Arabia earlier this year

Camilla comes a cropper in cream top: Duchess dresses to impress on Mexican tour… but chooses identical outfit as her host

After missing yesterday's engagements due to a sinus problem, the Duchess of Cornwall pulled out all the stops to look her very best as she and Prince Charles continued their royal tour of Mexico.

But Camilla was left blushing for all the wrong reasons when she turned up in a stunning creme ensemble - which was almost identical to her host's outfit.

Standing beside Gretta Salinas de Medina, the First Lady of Monterrey, the pair looked the mirror image of one another, as they made their way around the industrial city in northern Mexico.

The duo wore a matching string of pearls and discreet pearl-coloured earrings to complete their outfits.

What exactly is the purpose of this visit again?

The Duchess pulled out all stops to look her best. Sound likes a joke.
