One thing is for sure he is very corteous with his hosts and guests unlike his father with his so called 'funny' statements.

Mud baths, leeches and plenty of nasal cleansing... Camilla's Indian detox

You might be in your PJs and digging into your second bowl of cornflakes while reading this.
Chances are, however, by now the Duchess of Cornwall is on to her fourth or fifth massage and meditation session of the day.

The Duchess, 66, is currently on a week-long ‘ayurvedic detox’ at a retreat in southern India.
It sounds relaxing. But if she’s following the instructions to the letter she may also be called upon to get involved in some less pleasant practices – including induced vomiting, nasal cleansing, enemas and leech therapy.
The Duchess arrived at the Soukya International Holistic Health Centre in Bangalore on Thursday with a small group of friends and her bodyguards ahead of an official tour of India with Prince Charles.

Alcohol is banned at the centre in favour of a low-carb, organic vegetarian diet, with lots of salads and soups. The menu follows ‘sathwic’ food principles, which are said to create ‘positive vibrations in the body’.

Prince Charles and Camilla begin tour of India with a visit to the Parmarth Miketan Temple

PRINCE Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall began their nine-day tour of India today by taking part in an Aarti ceremony.

Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall are currently on a tour of India

The Royal couple were pictured at the Parmarth Miketan Temple on the banks of the River Ganges in Dehradun earlier today, where they met with locals and got fully involved in the traditional celebrations.

Camilla, 66, made sure that her attire matched the colourful celebrations and wore a long-sleeved turquoise dress with white trousers and a long scarf.

Charles, 64, wore a smart grey suit with a blue tie, and wore the same traditional Indian necklace as his wife as well as a red poppy.

^PC looks very dapper, as always.  Best foot forward for Camilla but I think they have enough money to get her a proper fitting bra, don't they?  Sorry. I just feel like being shallow today.

^You're right all that money ,and she can get the best bra fitting experts to help find what bra fits her. I don't her kind of money but I went in Nordstrom lingerie section and had them fit me for a bra.

^So did I.  The very expert lady at Nordstrom took me in hand several years ago and I've never looked back.  It's amazing how an ill fitting bra can destroy your overall appearance.  It's super simple, Camilla.  Try it!

Charles and Camilla's sunset ceremony by the sacred river: Royal couple take part in traditional Hindu fire ritual on banks of Ganges
Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall embark on their third and most extensive Indian tour as a couple
The trip is designed to highlight and strengthen the relationship between Britain and the Commonwealth country

It began today with the traditional Hindu Aarti sunset ceremony on the banks of the River Ganges in Rishikesh
Meanwhile back at home, Prince William visits St Giles Trust, which helps ex-offenders break out of cycle of crime

Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall tonight took part in a solemn ceremony of thanks with Hindus on the banks of the River Ganges.

In the holy Hindu city of Rishikesh, the prince led his wife by the hand to the banks of the sacred river where they joined Hindu worshippers conducting the Aarti ceremony.

It is performed by devotees every sunset who wave oil lamps burning ghee - a symbolic thank you to God for lighting the world.

Actually, I think the whole Indian descent thing, and the multiple visits is to make India forget they were colonized by the British years ago and turn their back on their neighbors-Afghanistan, Iran, etc since they are now a part of the "oppressor" (i.e. trilateral commission and such)

India has been playing both sides of the East/West political and cultural divide since the 90's.

Thing is, that the East Asians are a lot more worshipful to the upper classes than the native born Brits and Charles can indulge his delusion that he is one with the Hindu religion. As for India, India is pretty much in a position of incredible advantage and now the British government wants to make nice and suck up.

I don´t think it was a match made in heaven.  So many have said that privately camzilla campon spends at lot of time at her own home, and upchuck at Highgrove.  Must admit I must have blinked and missed the "loving glances"  -  they look more like Derby and Joan to me on a day trip for the peasants to see them and worship at their feet  -  they wish.

Camilla's pukka day out: Duchess of Cornwall visits military academy stables while Charles inspects the troops on second day of Indian tour
The Royal Couple are on a nine-day tour of India before they move on to Sri Lanka
They visited India's equivalent of the UK's Royal Military Academy Sandhurst

She has a passion for all things equestrian, so naturally the Duchess of Cornwall looked overjoyed when she was treated to a display of precision riding reminiscent at an Indian military academy.

Racing across a field at a gallop, riders used lances, swords and bayonets to spear targets on the ground, to Camilla's delight.

The exhibition of horsemanship was made by trainee officers - known as gentlemen cadets - from the prestigious Indian Military Academy in Dehradun

The Prince of Wales and Camilla toured the training centre where future officers undergo rigorous schooling to prepare them for life in the forces.

Founded in 1932 it is the equivalent of the UK's Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, with around 1,700 cadets being trained at any one time at the base, set in acres of manicured grounds

The duchess was impressed by Anant Rajpurohid, 21, who showed off his riding skills in an activity called tent pegging.

He used a lance to spear a foam target, then dropped it to grab a sword stuck in the ground which he used to stab another peg before picking up a bayonet to hit a final target

I don't think so either. Even Charles and Diana early on had more "loving looks" than C and C have now. Camilla is happy she got all the marbles and I think that makes her happy. Charles likes the attention of appearing before the "peasants".

Echoes of Diana: Charles and Camilla pose in front of Indian landmark (after he receives a birthday cake from schoolchildren during visit to New Delhi slum)
Charles was presented with the chocolate cake by pupils at the Katha school
The school is a beacon of hope in the Govindpuri slum in the south of Delhi
Later the couple visited the magnificent Akshardham Hindu temple complex

In a scene reminiscent of the iconic Princess Diana Taj Mahal photo, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall were pictured on day three of their India tour in front of a magnificent Hindu Temple complex.
And earlier in the day the couple became Slumdog royalty, where Charles was given an early birthday surprise.
The gesture came courtesy of pupils at a school in the Govindpuri slum in the south of the city, a labyrinth of filthy two and three-storey shacks with precious little water or sanitation.

One of the largest 'jugghis'  in India, with more than 200,000 inhabitants, families with six or seven children cram into a single room.
Water-borne disease is rife and rabid mongrels defecate in the streets as children play.
In amongst the squalor, however, is the Katha school, a whitewashed beacon of hope for the slum's thousands of children, many of whom would be forced into child labour without its help.
Of its 1,350 pupils aged three to 17, 98 per cent pass their state exams while 56 per cent go on to university.

Totally agree. Unlike the Duke of Windsor he got it all, even the heirs via his late ex wife. And he takes no responsibility for anything. what a life.

Camilla put through gruelling Indian dance routine during visit to centre for abused and abandoned children in Mumbai
Duchess moved close to tears at centre for abused children
She met a three-day-old baby abandoned by its teenage mother
Charles lays wreath at hotel where 30 died in Mumbai terror attack
They watched a puppet show and the children performed a dance
The charity has been set up for the children of building workers
It is supported by Charles's British Asian Trust

The Duchess of Cornwall was moved close to tears today when she was shown round a centre for abused and abandoned children.
She met children as young as a three-day-old baby abandoned by its teenage mother and teenagers who had been raped and sexually abused.
Despite the horrific stories it was still a joyous and colourful occasion. The Duchess was greeted by a group of dancers in jewel-coloured saris with flowers in their hair, who even managed to persuade her to try out some of their dance moves.

The Duchess was shown round a residential block for the centre's youngest residents, where photographers were banned.
Meeting a group of children aged three and under, one little boy who was unable to walk dragged himself on his stomach over to her and pulled himself to his feet to be able to greet Camilla.
She gently touched his hand and the boy smiled, delighted.
She listened intently as one of the staff explained how one child was still unable to speak due to the trauma they had suffered.
But it was seeing the youngest children taken in by the centre that really touched her heart.
The Duchess said: 'They are just such tragic stories, you cannot believe.'
She was particularly moved by the sight of the three-day-old boy whose 15 year old mother had abandoned him and will be put up for adoption.
'You just want to scoop them all up in your arms and take them home,' she said.
As the Duchess spoke to a class of girls about to sit their exams, most of whom had been raped or abused, an aide of the Duchess said: 'She was particularly keen to see the centre as an extension of her work in the UK for victims of violent physical attack and sexual violence.'

Prince Charles and Camilla mark Remembrance Sunday at a church in Mumbai

THE Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall may have been many miles away from the UK today, but they still made sure they marked Remembrance Sunday.

The royal couple, who are currently on a nine-day tour of India, attended a special service at St. John The Evangelist Church in Mumbai, while the Queen led a service at Cenotaph in London.

During their visit today, Charles and Camilla met some of India's last surviving Second World War veterans as they paid their respects to the country's war dead.

The pair honoured the fallen when they joined the congregation at the church for an annual remembrance service.

Charles, 64, and Camilla. 66, took their seats at the head of the pews in St John the Evangelist Church as it commemorated those who fought in the Afghan campaign of the mid 19th century.

Among those in the congregation was Brigadier Furdoon Mehta, 91, the first Indian Army aviator, and Madhukar Dongre, 92, the last surviving recipient of the Burma Star living in India who was a craftsman with the Indian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers.

Prince Charles and Duchess of Cornwall get a colourful welcome to Southern India
PRINCE Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall celebrated the sixth day of their Indian tour today with a truly colourful welcome to Southern India.

The pair were greeted by an array of demons, princes and Gods as dancers with brightly coloured costumes and  painted faces performed an short excerpt of a 300-year-old Hindu legend.

And it looked as though the royal visitors were more than impressed with their welcome, with Charles even claiming that the performance was "far too short."

The performance was the highlight of a tour of the Kerala Folklore Theatre and Museum in Cochin, where other cultural displays were staged for the couple including martial arts fighting and an acrobatic wrestling match.

Honestly, I can't get a straight read on Camilla.  And I think I've overcome the infidelity issues.  But, I remain uncertain as to her genuineness.  Sometimes she gets it and then, in the pink Jammie's photos she looks visibly forced,so all I can think is she's trying. It not getting there.  No clue.   :dontknow:

Truth be told, I think Camilla might be a better person if she put up less of a front. It's a front that she is a fully down to earth countrywoman and I wonder how much of it is her overcompensating. She is spiffed up, but I'm beginning to think there is still a lot of ugliness in her that isn't exorcised. She seems to resent that Charles is secure and seems to resent that her life is dependent on him. Women who depend on men to support them never stop envying or resenting women who don't have to do the stuff she did.

I haven't overcome the infidelity issues. I think she should not have been rewarded with an HRH. She willingly interfered in another woman's marriage and undermined the woman. She was in the C and D marriage beginning with the courtship period.  She has to do appearances now or lose credibility.  She seems to think she's God's gift to mankind the way she looks for cameras and grins. She knows she's set for life because Charles would have a hard time ditching her after the Great Love spin and he would lose credibility if he divorced her. The country is stuck with her and she has all the bling, perks, privileges and I thinks she loves people kow towing to her. She would not have latched on to the Charles if he wasn't the Prince of Wales. She's a hard cold woman who tries to appear like this little old lady who is so "down to earth."  Charles is just another weak willed Windsor man who botched things up getting involved with her. I think Charles should have been given the same choice Edward VIII was given.

That looks familiar! Camilla roars with laughter as she is presented with gift bottle during India tour... featuring her wedding photo glued to it

The Duchess of Cornwall received the present at the Aluva Palace in Kerela
The photo was taken in the White Drawing Room at Windsor Castle

The Duchess of Cornwall roared with laughter as she came to face to face with her wedding picture today - on an olive oil bottle.

Camilla was given the home-made gift on a visit to a Women's Empowerment Group at the Aluva Palace in Kerela during her official tour of India.

Artist Sherin Unneenkitty made the gift from an old olive oil bottle which she had filled with coloured gel and decorated and then placed the Duchess's 2005 wedding picture inside.

In all these photos two suggestions:

Charles needs to stop pointing

She needs to stop looking for cameras and smirking for them.

What a goofy gift!

She has to try too hard, KF, way up there.  It started out as a PR campaign and has become her persona.  There's no real acceptance for Camilla, really.  I really wonder what PC is up to these days.  As the old saying goes, "when you marry the mistress, a vacancy is created".

I must say, however, that they appear to be good sports on this gig.

A red rose from a prince: Charles throws flower to British woman who serenades him with 'Happy Birthday' from a balcony during tour of India
Prince threw rose to British tourist Trish Lewis when she started singing

Presented with cake featuring portrait of him and Duchess of Cornwall

Prince Charles threw a red rose to a British tourist who serenaded him with Happy Birthday from a balcony.

After being given the gift-wrapped flower by a member of the public in bustling Jew Street, he stopped in his tracks when he heard the voice singing a tuneful version of the song.

Charles gazed upwards as holidaymaker Trish Lewis from Wendover in Buckinghamshire finished singing and suddenly threw the red rose upwards towards her.

Sri Lanka is alleged to have shelled civilians indiscriminately, killing 40,000

Prince Charles steered clear of criticising Sri Lanka's record on human rights on Friday as he made his first address to a Commonwealth summit on behalf of the Queen.
The closest the Prince came to referring to allegations of torture, kidnap and other abuses was when he said the gathering needed to address the ‘security’ of its members nations and referred to the ‘touch of healing’ the 53-nation body can bring.
Although the Queen is Head of the Commonwealth she has decided to scale down her long-haul international travel and asked her son to represent her at this year’s Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
But the Colombo-based gathering has turned into a political minefield, with Canada and India pulling out of the summit in protest at alleged war crimes and attacks against his own people by Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaska.

A girlish Camilla looks ten years younger as she steps out in floaty chiffon dress
Duchess of Cornwall looked youthful in Anna Valentine dress
She joined Prince Charles at meeting of Commonwealth leaders
Earlier in the day she visited children at library in Sri Lanka
Showed her style credentials during tour of Indian region

The Duchess of Cambridge has become a style icon but Camilla has proved she can also be a fashion leader as she stepped out in a pretty white and gold dress today.
The Duchess of Cornwall joined her husband Prince Charles at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Chogm, Sri Lanka.
She looked younger than her 66 years as she greeted the national leaders attending the summit with a handshake and beaming smile.

Her floaty chiffon dress is believed to be by her favourite designer, Anna Valentine, who also designed her wedding gown.
She teamed her outfit with beige heels and a wicker style handbag while accessorising with pearls.
The gathering of national leaders comes after the couple have been touring India for the last nine days, which coincided with the Prince's 65th birthday.
It is the first time the Prince of Wales has hosted the meeting as he continues to take on more roles usually performed by the Queen.

Camilla probably cackles as she puts on the tiara thinking how she got the Queen Mum's bling, the one who forbade Charles to marry her and they had to wait for her to pass on.  She got all the marbles by her manipulating and scheming.  Charles should have been given a choice Camilla or the throne.

That's the best I've ever seen her look.  And the dress really does flatter her.  It's pretty obvious she's set to become the Consort.  She's older than Charles, yes?   Whoever does her face sculpting should get an award.  Seriously.

She still looks older than her age. The Queen actually looks better. Camilla cleaned up nicely but she is not stunning or glamorous by any stretch of the imagination. And there is the invention of airbrushing which hides a multitude of sins.

The Queen Mother landed her home to C & C during the 90's and The Prince gave Cam her ring as an engagement ring and she has her Tiara ... The Queen Mother was old school I doubt she had any issues with Cam as a person ( she hated Di's guts though) but her being a wife was another matter all together ... nothing personal ...

The Queen Mum thought the sun rose and set on Charles. Of course she blamed the women instead of him for the problems. Not a surprise. The Queen Mum condoned Charles affair with Camilla as long as Camilla as "safely" married. When the PBs divorced the QM changed her tune and did not receive Camilla and told Charles no wedding to CPB while she was still alive. So Charles waited.  The QM did not like Camilla and I think "hated Diana's guts" is a bit strong, don't you think? She disapproved of Diana but as a supposedly good Christian woman I doubt she'd be that extreme about her.

The Queen Mother hated the guts of the Duchess of Windsor; she never let up on the Duchess even in death.

As for Diana, the Queen Mother loathed Diana for all the airing of the dirty laundry and Panorama and the other various scandals. As for Camilla, she's getting all the loot and is certainly reveling in the recent privilege granted by HM, the Family Order and that is incredibly disgusting on the part of HM to give Camilla that.

Charles created scandals but the Queen Mother just looked the other way and defended her precious grandson. It was all the women's fault. And she was  hypocritical in condoning the cheating of C and C when Camilla was married and then getting on her high horse against Camilla after the PBs divorced. She didn't also see Diana's side of it that Charles would not give up his mistress. I think Charles weeps and wails to his mother about "poor" Camilla and the Queen at this point just give in to his whining.

The way the media rants one would think Camilla was the only one to receive this. She isn't. Diana and others wore the order.

I think the Queen Mother thought of Camilla as only fit for being a mistress, but got testy at the idea of a mistress replacing a wife. In fairness to the Queen Mother, that was an abhorrent thought and I don't think the Queen Mother was unaware of the fact that a lot of women her age had been cast aside so a man could marry his mistress.

The message was clear: Charles is a King-in-waiting as Commonwealth crown jewels were laid out in Sri Lanka, says ROBERT HARDMAN

All the Commonwealth crown jewels were laid out on the table last night.
The 18-carat gold Commonwealth Mace, with a socking great ruby in its crown, is just as much a statement of regal clout as, say, the Orb.

There, too, were the Commonwealth Goblets, the gold cups (one for each member state) which are produced when the Sovereign entertains the leaders of her Commonwealth.
But the Queen was not in Sri Lanka last night. She was thousands of miles away at home.
These treasures had all been flown out to Colombo and dusted off for the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall.
Earlier in the day, the Prince had formally opened the 2013 Commonwealth Summit.
And when he whacked the Queen’s gavel on the table last night and called the representatives of a third of the world’s population to order, he did so as de facto Monarch.

By glorious coincidence, he was hosting his first Commonwealth banquet in a hotel ballroom called ‘Kings Court’ (perhaps, after last night, the management might get round to adding the absent apostrophe).
In the very week that Prince Charles has reached what most people would regard as retirement age, he is as busy and contented as he has ever been. And yesterday was his most significant step yet in assuming the mantle of Monarch.

Prince Charles does the Hokey Cokey

Prince Charles does the Hokey Cokey
The Prince of Wales shows off his natural sense of rhythm as he joins in with Sri Lankan schoolchildren doing Hokey Cokey

The Prince of Wales joined in with the Hokey Cokey when he walked into a classroom full of children doing the dance in Sri Lanka

The Prince, who prides himself on his sense of rhythm, joined hands with children in a music class at the MENCAFEP school for mentally handicapped children in Nuwara Eliya.

Wearing a garland of orchids, he carried on with the dance for several verses, eventually giving up when it appeared the children might carry on all afternoon.

The school is run by Chris Stubbs MBE, a British expatriate.

I wonder how HM feels knowing her son is dying for her to kick the bucket; I wouldn't be surprised if she holds on to the throne out of sheer spite.
